CARLOS CARMELO REYES LIMA/Filmografía/Filmography: Largometrajes/Feature films: Carmelo, cartero y ciego, guarda un paquete con cartas y una bobina de película. Felipe, militar jubilado, guarda sus recuerdos. 2014 - LAS CARTAS DE MÁLEX Ramos (hijo de Felipe) y Martín (hijo de Carmelo) están enamorados de la misma mujer, Ana. La historia se repite. Juan Luna y Edith se unen a Martín y Ana para saber “qué le pasó a Málex”, ese personaje que acompaña al cartero, Carmelo. En un viaje iniciático, los personajes recorren desde Canarias hasta La Rioja. En un pueblo abandonado encuentran a Dolores, personaje que nunca dejó de vivir en el último instante de Málex. Así, descubren que entre el pasado y el presente no hay fronteras, que la situación doméstica, la crisis económica, los mil y un problemas del pasado y el presente los invade. Y, los muertos pueden resucitar y tienen nombre propio. Y, al final solo una conclusión: “Cuando las armas hablan las palabras callan, esperan”.

Carmelo, a blind postman, guards a package with letters and a spool of film. Felipe, retired military, guards his memories. And, the dead can be resurrected and have a name. And, in the end, there can be only one conclusion: “When weapons speak, words are silenced, wait".

La producción cinematográfica en Cataluña no se detuvo durante la Guerra Civil. Los diferentes partidos y sindicatos y la propia Generalitat plasmaron, en documentales y películas de ficción, una combinación de propaganda y creatividad ante la sublevación fascista. El director de fotografía Juan Mariné, último testigo de aquella época, participó en la producción de muchos de estos filmes.

Film production in Catalonia did not stop during the Civil War. The different parties and trade unions and the regional government produced a combination of propaganda and creativity in documentaries and fiction, against the fascist revolt. The director of photography Juan Mariné, last witness of the time, participated in the production of many of these films.

Cuando sólo eran unos niños, Ahmed, Mamadou y Lukman comenzaron una carrera para cambiar su destino. Solos, recorrieron miles de kilómetros de manera ilegal hasta Barcelona, la ciudad de sus sueños. Ya han cumplido los dieciocho años y se quedan fuera del sistema de protección de menores. Ahora luchan contra reloj para conseguir el permiso de trabajo que necesitan para poderse quedar. Solos, en un lugar extraño, deben demostrar que pueden hacerse cargo de su existencia como si fueran adultos. Su fuerza de resistencia será clave para lograr completar la carrera.

As children, Ahmed, Mamadou and Lukman began an endurance race that would change their futures. Without their families, they traveled thousands of kilometers illegally until they reached Barcelona, the city of their dreams. Now at the age of 18, they are no longer protected by legal measures for minors. They live in a race against time in their attempts to get their needed work permits as quickly as possible. Alone, in an unfamiliar country, they have to demonstrate that they are capable of taking care of themselves as if they were mature adults. Their ability to endure the obstacles ahead will be key for them to be able to reach the finish line.

In the Kitchen sets out to follow two different stories as they unfold in parallel: an argument between a couple and their attempt to cook dinner for some special guests. Francesch Vicent, el judío converso de Segorbe que escribe el primer tratado del ajedrez moderno, ''Libre de Jochs Partitis dels Scachs'', editado en Valencia en 1495 y hoy desaparecido, buscará refugio en Italia perseguido por la Inquisición. Los Borgia lo acogerán convirtiéndole en su maestro de ajedrez, un juego cada vez más valorado en las cortes europeas.

During the last third of the 15th century, during the reign of Isabella, a group of Valencian scholars, inspired by the power of their queen, replaced the vizier with a queen on the chessboard, revolutionizing the millenary game forever. Francesch Vicent, the convert Jew from Segorbe who wrote the first modern chess treaty, ''Libre dels of Jochs Partitis dels Scachs'', which was published in Valencia in 1495 and no longer exists today, was persecuted by the Inquisition and sought refuge in Italy. The Borgias would welcome him and hail him as their chess master, a game that increasingly gained importance in the European courts.

Las tiendas y oficinas cierran, 2000 - I LOVEDYOU… unas por voluntad propia, otras forzadas por los acontecimientos. 2003 - TISHE! En el mismo momento, en el Teatro del Liceu, se representa el ballet Don Quijote de Ludwig Minkus. En los dos días de huelga 2011 - VIVAN LAS ANTÍPODAS! general, 32 estudiantes del Máster en Documental de Creación de 2014 - DEMONSTRATION la Universidad PompeuFabra se lanzan a la calle con sus cámaras para registrar los hechos desde diferentes puntos de vista, siguiendo las indicaciones del director ruso VictorKossakovsky. El resultado es un film-balleten que los personajes, los sonidos y las situaciones encontrados se combinan con la música de Minkus en una mezcla reveladora que produce un efecto imprevisible.

2012: a year of massive protests all over the world. Spain is the centre stage of two general strikes against the government's austerity plans. In Barcelona the demonstrators gather in various places in the city and the police use rubber bullets to control them. Shops and offices close, some of their own accord, others compelled by the events. During that period, the Liceu Theatre is playing Ludwig Minkus' ballet, Don Quixote. During the two days of the general strike, 32 students of Pompeu Fabra University's Master in Creative Documentary take to the streets with their cameras to record the facts from different perspectives, following the guidelines of Russian filmmaker Victor Kossakovsky. The result is a 'film-ballet' in which the characters, the

Documental sobre la vida y obra de uno de los más grandes arquitectos de la historia de España: Emilio Pérez Piñero. Murciano, hijo de Calasparra, nacido un 27 de Agosto de 1935 y fallecido en un accidente de coche el 8 de Julio de 1972 a los 38 años de edad, justo cuando se encontraba en el esplendor de su vida y de su genio, el día en que volvía de Figueras después de reunirse con su amigo Salvador Dalí, con el que estaba trabajando en novedosos proyectos.

Documentary about the life and work of one of the greatest architects in the history of Spain: Emilio Pérez Piñero. Montse has metastatic renal cancer. Her diagnosis is virtually terminal. As her life fades out, Montse lives each moment as if it were her last. Her meetings at the bar with her friends, her weekly appointment at the hairdresser, the puzzles she completes relentlessly, her regular visits to the hospital for chemotherapy and her constant walks in the park, are all part of her routine before she dies.
