All Team Oregon in-person training has been postponed until state restrictions are lifted. All staff are working remotely. The Training Support Unit (TSU) is busy converting all in-person classroom to eRider and rescheduling displaced students. Training, Operations and Communications continue to execute business plans and prepare for training to resume.

1. Through March 31 (all training was postponed after March 15), 962 students took a basic or intermediate course, a drop of 28 percent in endorsement-seeking students from the previous year.

 441 participants took Basic Rider Training  241 participants took eRider® Basic  141 participants took Intermediate Rider Training  139 participants took eRider® Intermediate

The projected number of endorsement-seeking students in 2020 before statewide postponement of training was 9,836.

2. Operations, Facilities, and Equipment: The Operations team will soon begin site prep at the new North Portland/ODOT Region I location including container placement, training bike install and range paint. The team continues to negotiate for Bend and Roseburg replacement sites. A replacement range has been secured in Pendleton. The team painted the first of two replacement ranges at Chemeketa Community College and is coordinating with the sponsor for the second range paint as soon as possible. A replacement range has been painted at Treasure Valley Community College in Ontario due to degraded asphalt on the former range.

3. Training Department: Training has completed one Instructor Prep – Range (7 graduates), one Instructor Prep – Classroom (7 graduates) and five Instructor Updates (93 attendees). In person training and Instructor Updates, Mentor Updates, Instructor Prep – Range and other updates are being readied for deployment when state restrictions are lifted.

4. Communications and Outreach: Team Oregon attendance at all public events has been postponed. Through March 1, Team Oregon facilitated 11 motorcycle, community, or media events. Total motorcyclist audience is estimated at 27,290. Mass media impressions and general audience events are estimated at 100K. Social media outreach has continued in earnest on Facebook and Instagram; LinkedIn and Twitter will be added in May. TEAM OREGON YEAR-TO-DATE TRAINING TOTALS March
