  • Ricks Menu Final
Born in Morocco… Named after his great uncle Rick, the star of the classic black and white movie ‘Casablanca’. That is Rick.. with the passion of Morocco flowing in his veins, sweeping through the Orient like an adventurous pirate, he has built up a caché of exotic wokkerie ideas and services them alongside his famously wicked cocktails. Experience his debonair, rakish charm in the slice of lime perched flirtatiously atop one of his original cocktails. Taste his creativity in his sensuous twirl of a noodle around slender chopsticks. FOREWORD 18o6 has lived and breathed mixed drinks since it opened in 2007. Based in the heart of the city’s theatre district, the iconic Melbourne Cocktail Bar is housed in an historic building on Exhibition Street. Opulent furnishings match the old fashioned service. Named after the year that the word “Cocktail” was first defined in print, 18o6 has designed its menu concept around the complex and engaging history of mixed drinks. The concept follows a timeline over the past 200 years capturing the essence of each decade and what people were drinking at the time. Dating back to 1756 when concoctions in a punch bowl were the norm, 18o6’s first cocktail menu set a new standard in the world of classic cocktail bars and received international recognition, winning the award for “World’s Best Cocktail Menu” in 2008 at Tales of the Cocktail, New Orleans.

WHAT FABBRICA 102 IS The concept of FABBRICA102 bistrot refers on the one hand to old “public house”, an informal and cozy place where workers spend their free time, and by the other hand to the “literary cafè”, a place for freethinkers, artists and wayfarers which are looking for any inspiration. The name means “Factory”, a site in work in progress. FABBRICA102 implies tradition and innovation, keeping always in mind host's importance. Any detail of its area has been created from an artist or from a masterly craftsman. This is a “re- creational” space, perfect for refresh yourself and spend in good taste your happy hours. • Master Cocktail List
Master Cocktail List The recipes listed in this spec sheet are a mix of some popular classics and modern classics presented in metric units. I realise that different bars/bartenders have their own ways of making drinks that may differ from what I have used, however I’ve tried to give versions of the cocktails that I feel work well internationally – in essence this is a guide, not a book of law! Also, glassware is keep relatively simple (similar to what you would expect in a good home bar without needing to get too exotic). When training I encourage my students to write notes about the cocktails once they have made them (how the drink tastes, looks, if it reminds them of anything etc) and you will see a notes field next to each drink so you can do this as well. For more information about mixing methods, techniques, or ingredients check out the blog at http://makecocktailsathome.com This list is updated as new cocktails are added to the blog so make sure to check back often. • Bartender´S Holy Bible
Bartender´s Holy Bible Old Testament Introduction Old Testament When I started to write this book I didn’t know how much work I actually had in front of me. Now looking back to the day when I started I realise it has been a long journey. But now finally finished I couldn’t be happier to share this with you! This Part of the book which is referred to as the Old Testament is based upon a 100 Classic Cocktails! I have chosen the most common and well known Top 100 classic Cocktails that every good bartender should know. I have tracked down the history of these 100 Classics. Who came up with the cocktail? , when was it created, how did it gets its name? Because the history is something I have come to realise that most Cocktail books have completely overlooked. The Classic Cocktails have a very intriguing history with everything from Pirates, Legends of Ghosts, the military, movie stars and a lot more. In this chapter you will find the first original recipes for the cocktails also in some cases I have added my recipe twist as the cocktails have evolved during time. Enjoy this fascinating chapter and I hope you will have a lot of fun times trying these Lovely Classic Cocktails!
