    PREVIEW LADIES’ SUPER-G ROSA KHUTOR – Sunday 3 Mar 2019 Schmidhofer set For successive victories • Nicole Schmidhofer won the last World Cup super-G race, in Garmisch- Partenkirchen. It was her first World Cup win in super-G. • Schmidhofer can become the first Austrian woman to win successive super-G events on the World Cup since Renate Götschl in December 2006. • Götschl was also the last Austrian woman to win multiple World Cup super- G races in a season as she won four in 2006/07. • At the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games, two Austrian women finished on the super-G podium: Anna Veith (gold) and Nicole Hosp (bronze). Gut-Behrami and Weirather seeking super-G win • Lara Gut-Behrami has won 12 World Cup races in super-G, equal to Carole Merle in joint-fourth place among women. Only Lindsey Vonn (28), Renate Götschl (17) and Katja Seizinger (16) have won more. • Gut-Behrami's last super-G win on the World Cup came in Cortina d'Ampezzo on 21 January 2018. • Gut-Behrami has won at least one World Cup super-G race in each of the previous five seasons (2013/14-2017/18). • Tina Weirather has won seven career World Cup super-G races, equal to Alexandra Meissnitzer. She needs one more win to equal Hilde Gerg (8) in seventh place all-time. • Weirather has collected 21 World Cup podiums in super-G, one shy of Anna Veith (22) in sixth place all-time among women.
