MFO's Assessment's Methodology and Results Establishment of Farmers’ Enterprise Communities Selection methodology and results FE Selection procedure in 1 Karakalpakstan Selection Process of the potential beneficiary communities / business idea • Phase I – Selection of the 50 beneficiary communities from the three districts by the Councilor of Ministries of KK region and Hokimiats of Karauzeak, Kegeyli and Shumanay rayons. • Phase II – Selection of 15 potential beneficiary communities based on a survey and questionnaires among community leaders – in cooperation with the ELS’s component 2 empowering communities) and 1 (regional development strategies) • Phase III – Selection of 3 potential beneficiary communities based on the qualitative research with focus groups. • Phase IV – Business plans preparation and selection of business proposal- investment project. • Phase V – Negotiation of the Memorandum of Agreement with selected partners and establishment of farmers’ enterprise FE Selection procedure in 2 Karakalpakstan Phase I Selection of 50 communities from three districts by the ELS Project’s staff and Councilor of Ministries of KK region and Hokimiats of Karauzeak, Kegeyli and Shumanay rayons. See attached the scoring procedure • Phase V – Negotiation of the Memorandum of agreement with selected partners and establishment of the farmers’ enterprise FE Selection procedure in 14 Karakalpakstan .
