King Henry School Rocked On Wednesday 3rd April, with live music and acts from all over Bexley showcasing their talents. Last half term King Henry School students performed in a Michael Jackson Dance Production at . After taking part in the NBTA National championships back in October, I am proud to say I qualified to take part in the European championships to be held in Italy in April 2019. The events I took part in were freestyle dance, to which my music was “Cruella de Vil”, a duet, two team events and twirling corp. The twirling corp is made up of 16 athletes, with a routine choreographed by our trainer to songs from the “Lion King”. I feel very honoured to be part of all these events and representing my country in a sport I love. Hoping I might bring some medals home! You collected Foodbank Manager. 750.3KG which is staggering. It was so busy with clients yesterday, rateful, we fed 16 families in the first 40 minutes, so we are very g thank you.

Last year we fed 5,557 people in Bexley Borough. This is due to low income, benefit changes or benefits being stopped, debt, addiction,

no recourse to public funds and domestic abuse. 9.5KG of food. Last year very kind and caring people donated 51,42 We used 50,143.4KG, so you can see we really need the food,

Since April we have fed 5,076 people, a huge rise from last year. Thank you again for thinking of others. You will make Christmas a much happier time.

Year 10 “Getting ahead” Careers event Year 10 “Getting ahead” Careers event. 70 volunteers from Year 10 took part in an all careers event hosted by AGM. Students worked in groups throughout the day and developed their knowledge for CV writing, interview techniques and the importance of first impressions. All students enjoyed the day and we are looking to repeat the event in the summer term. AGM claimed that the King Henry Year 10 cohort were the best group they’d worked with in years. Year 10 Monday Study Sessions Since the start of the year Year 10s have been voluntarily attending extra revision sessions after school with Miss Northwood. Students have shown great maturity, commitment and a willingness to improve their progress scores week in week out earning loyalty stamps as they go. It is vital that we lay the footings now so that Year 11 does not come as a huge shock.
