KEYNOTE SPEAKERS ADAM METZ Senior Advisor TPG Capital

Adam Metz is a senior advisor to TPG Capital’s Real Estate Group. Prior to joining TPG, Adam was the Chief Executive Officer of General Growth Properties, Inc. During his tenure, GGP owned and managed more than 200 regional shopping malls in 43 states. The Company’s portfolio totaled approximately 200 million square feet of retail space and more than 24,000 retail stores nationwide. The Company’s stock is traded on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol GGP.

Prior to joining GGP, Mr. Metz held numerous executive positions such as president, chief financial officer and director of acquisitions for Urban Shopping Centers, Inc., a publicly-traded REIT that owned a portfolio of high-performing malls, where he worked from 1993 until its sale in 2000. Before joining Urban, he held positions in the capital markets group of JMB Realty and in the commercial real estate lending group at The First National Bank of Chicago.

MICHAEL SHANNON Managing Director KSL Capital Partners

Mr. Shannon founded KSL Capital Partners in 2004 and founded its predecessor KSL Recreation Corporation in 1992, serving as its president and chief executive officer. KSL Capital Partners is a $1.6 billion private equity firm which invests in the hospitality, real estate and leisure industries. Mr. Shannon founded and became chief executive officer of KSL Resorts in 2004 following the sale of KSL Recreation. Prior to establishing KSL Recreation, he served as president and CEO of Vail Associates, Inc. (owner of Vail and Beaver Creek Resorts) in Vail, Colorado, from 1986 to 1992. He currently serves on the board of directors of ING Direct, Safeway, Inc., the Vail Valley Foundation, the United States Ski and Snowboard Association, Eisenhower Memorial Hospital and the Vail Health Services Board. He is a past director of Conseco, Inc., TCA Cable TV, Inc., Startek, Inc. and ING Americas Holdings. Mr. Shannon is a member of the Young Presidents’ Organization. He holds a Bachelor of Business and Administration from the University of Wisconsin and a Master of Management in Accounting and Finance from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management. Andrew Ross Sorkin is ’ chief reporter and a columnist. Mr. Sorkin, a leading voice about Wall Street and corporate America, is also the editor of DealBook, an online daily financial report he started in 2001. In addition, Mr. Sorkin is an assistant editor of business and finance news, helping guide and shape the paper’s coverage. Mr. Sorkin, who has appeared on NBC’s Today Show and on on PBS, is a frequent guest host of CNBC’s . He won a , the highest honor in business journalism, in 2004 for breaking news. He also won a Society of American Business Editors and Writers Award for breaking news in 2005 and again in 2006. In 2007, the named him a Young Global Leader. Mr. Sorkin began writing for The New York Times in 1995 under unusual circumstances: he hadn’t yet graduated from high school. His New York Times bestseller, Too Big To Fail: The Inside Story of How Wall Street and Washington Fought to Save the Financial System – and Themselves, was released in October 2009.
