A checklist of the Microlepidoptera species recorded in Slovenia is presented. Each entry is accompanied by complete references, and remarks where appropriate. Until now, the data on Microlepidopteran fauna of Slovenia have not been compiled, with the existing information scattered in literature, museums and private collections throughout Europe. The present checklist is based on records extracted from 290 literature sources published from 1763 (Scopoli) to present. In total, 1645 species from 56 families are listed. Keywords: Microlepidoptera, checklist, Slovenia, fauna Izvleček. Helmut Deutsch Zum 70 Geburtstag
AÖE News 3: 44–48 Publikationsdatum: 24.03.2021 © Die Autoren | CC BY 4.0 Arbeitsgemeinschaft Österreichischer Entomologen Helmut Deutsch zum 70 Geburtstag Gerhard M. TARMANN Abb. 1: Portrait von Helmut Deutsch. © Eva Benedikt. Geburtstag. Helmut lebt seit seiner Jugend in Osttirol. Nota Lepidopterologica
Nota lepid.33 (2):©Societas285-300 Europaea Lepidopterologica; download unter http://www.biodiversitylibrary.org/ und www.zobodat.at 285 A preliminary study of everted vesicae of several leafrollers (Tortricidae) BOYAN ZlATKOV Sofia University, Faculty of Biology, Department of Zoology and Anthropology, 8, Dragan Tsankov Blvd., 11 64 Sofia, Bulgaria; [email protected] Abstract. In this study the everted vesicae of 23 tortricid species belonging to all European tribes with the exception of Euliini (Tortricini, Cochylini, Cnephasiini, Archipini, Sparganothini, Polyorthini, Bactrini, Olethreudni, Enarmoniini, Eucosmini, and Grapholitini) are described. In all investigated species, the vesica is tubular with the gonopore located terminally or subterminally, with the exception of the representatives of Cochylini, in which the diameter of the vesica vastly exceeds the diameter of the phallus and the gonopore is located laterally. The vesica appears to be non-eversible in many Eucosmini. Two main types of comuti are observed: 1 ) special sclerotised projections of the vesica typical for examined Cochylini, and 2) modified deciduous or non-deciduous (fixed) setae in Archipini, Enarmoniini, Eucosmini and Grapholitini. Several modificafions improving the injection eversion technique of Dang (1993) are described. Introduction The taxonomic significance of the morphology of everted vesica (endophallus) is well known. It is used for taxonomic purposes in many lepidopterous families (Matthews, 1998). Recently, examination of this structure has been applied to resolve some taxo- nomic problems and to complement descriptions in some microlepidopterous families such as the Pyraloidea (e. g. Ferris 2004; Ferris & Nordin 2004). The first attempts at studying the everted vesica of Microlepidoptera were implemented by Dang ( 1 993). -

New Faunistic Records for a Number of Microlepidoptera, Including Description of Three New Taxa from Agonoxenidae, Depressariidae, and Gelechiidae (Gelechioidea)
Nota lepid. 35 (2): 161 – 179 161 New faunistic records for a number of Microlepidoptera, including description of three new taxa from Agonoxenidae, Depressariidae, and Gelechiidae (Gelechioidea) JAN ŠUMPICH 1 & JAN SKYVA 2 1 CZ-562 81 Česká Bělá 212, Czech Republic; [email protected] 2 Buzulucká 3, CZ-160 00 Praha 6, Dejvice, Czech Republic; [email protected] Received 31 May 2012; reviews returned 8 August 2012; accepted 29 August 2012. Subject Editor: Lauri Kaila. Abstract. Faunistic data for 48 species of Microlepidoptera from Europe are provided. A total of 35 re- cords are new for certain European countries. Four species are recorded for the first time in Europe: Spiniphallellus desertus Bidzilya & Karsholt, 2008 (Gelechiidae), Hypsopygia almanalis (Rebel, 1917) (Pyralidae), Pyrausta tithonialis Zeller, 1872, and Mecyna lutulentalis (Lederer, 1858) (both Crambidae). Three new taxa are described: Agonopterix socerbi Šumpich, sp. n. (Depressariidae) from Slovenia, Chrysoclista abchasica gabretica Šumpich, ssp. n. (Agonoxenidae) from the Czech Republic, and Eulamprotes graecatella Šumpich & Skyva, sp. n. (Gelechiidae) from Greece. The previously unknown female of Megacraspedus albovenata Junnilainen, 2010 (Gelechiidae) is also described. Xenopathia no vaki (Rebel, 1891) (Blastobasidae) is figured for the first time including genitalia of both sexes. Introduction Our collecting trips to various parts of Europe have yielded findings regarding a con- siderable number of species that are noteworthy from ecological, faunistic or other points of view. As the data available are insufficient for a detailed evaluation of the lepidopteran fauna in the visited areas, we only provide the most interesting findings, a number of which are first country records. Furthermore, we collected several speci- mens that we could not identify as belonging to any known species.
