Wolff Schoemaker) Moh. Fachruddin Suharto Jurusan PTB Prodi Arsitektur Fakultas Teknik UNIMA [email protected] ABSTRAK Selama 350 tahun bangsa Belanda menguasai nusantara, banyak meninggalkan bukti sejarah, salah satunya adalah bangunan Kolonial Belanda (Indisch). Kata kunci : Arsitektur Kolonial (Indisch), C.P Wolff Schoemaker , Karakter bangunan ASTRACT During the 350 years the Dutch controlled the archipelago, many leaving historical evidence, one of which was the Dutch Colonial (Indisch) building. -

Villa Mei Ling in Bandung: a Historical Building for the Dutch East Indies
Villa Mei Ling in Bandung: a historical building for the Dutch East Indies Introduction On 22-7-1930 the paper “Het nieuws van den dag voor Nederlandsch Indie“ published an article called “A millionaires boulevard! New palaces in Bandung” great plans. It states among others That Bandung will have a brand new suburb on the North, near the Dr. de Grootweg, the new connection road between the Dagoweg and the road to Lembang. That Mr. K.B. Han of Parapattan, Batavia, the well-known landlord of Bekasi, acquired a premises of 30.000 square meters there, after Mr. Hoogland – a connoisseur as few others of Bandung and surroundings - personally had shown him the attractions of this terrain in view of his intention to build a large estate . The view - one could say a panorama – surely is very magnificent. That engineer Voorhoeve from Bandung has visited the ss Baloeran to precisely study the decorations on the wall and the staircases of this beautiful ship, this on instruction of Mr. Han and with permission of the Lloyd. In the future palace the study of Mr. Voorhoeve will be used and every effort will be made to make the external architecture and the interior as modern and beautiful as possible. It will be a fairylike building! At the moment that this article was published the building of the villa which would later be called Villa Mei Ling was in full swing. According to this article Already thousands of koelies are engaged in the construction of a connection with the Dr.de Groot road and soon the construction of the new building will start. -

But in Indonesia, the former largest colony of the Dutch empire, they have always been part of the country’s architectural history. They continue to be recognized and referred to, even after a generation has passed. This small booklet contains the speeches of two of the most influential Dutch professors who mentored the majority of the first generation of Indonesian architects: C.P. Wolff Schoemaker (1882-1949) and Vincent van Romondt (1903-1974). Clearly Schoemaker and Van Romondt held different views about the challenges of architecture in the world as well as in Indonesia. -
Tinjauan Furnitur Art Deco Pada Villa Isola
Abstract Villa Isola (now Bumi Siliwangi) is an art-deco building in the northern part of Bandung, the capital of West Java province of Indonesia. Overlooking the valley with the view of the city, Villa Isola was built in 1932 by the Dutch architect Wolff Schoemaker for the Dutch media tycoon Dominique William Berretty, the founder of the Aneta press-agency in the Dutch East Indies. -

Mitos Kala Dalam Arsitektur Wolff Schoemaker Pada Gedung Landmark Bandung
Mitos Kala dalam Arsitektur Wolff Schoemaker pada Gedung Landmark Bandung Ganesha Wibisana Sekolah Tinggi Teknologi Bandung (STTB) Jl. Soekarno-Hatta No.378, Kb. Lega, Kec. Bojongloa Kidul, Kota Bandung, Jawa Barat 40235 [email protected] ABSTRACT The interesting aspect of various architectural works of Wolff Schoemaker in Bandung city is the interaction between the sphere of Western and Eastern influence expressing full Indonesian ornamentation. This can be seen in the use of Kala’s head in the Landmark building. The figure is depicted with a face without a lower jaw placed on the building through a symmetrical shape, but with a dynamic ornament. The purpose of this research is to examine the meaning and influence of Kala’s head in Schoemaker’s architecture. This study is qualitative research using descriptive analysis methods. It explains the conception of the times in terms of form, characteristics and their translation in the myths of Javanese society. It was adopted in colonial buildings which made a cultural acculturation in architecture. The results of the analysis show that the Kala ornament in the building is influenced by the shape of the temples in the Central Java period. It has an identical shape to the Kala at the Gedong Songo temple and the Semar temple functioning as an antidote to negativity in the building. Keywords: Ornaments, Architecture, Kala, Wolff Shoemaker PENDAHULUAN kuat dalam perkembangan arsitektur A. Latar Belakang Kota Bandung.

We zullen haar missen. -
Constructing an Indonesian Architecture Documentation (PDF
icam 17 Session 2: New Lessons / Nadia Purwestri, Febriyanti Suryaningsih Nadia Purwestri & Febriyanti Suryaningsih Pusat Dokumentasi Arsitektur, Center for Indonesian Architecture Documentation, Jakarta Constructing an Indonesian Architecture Documentation Why The systematic documentation of cultural heritage in Indonesia has been developed after the establishment of Bataviaasch Genootschap van Kunsten en Wetenschappen (1778) and De Oudheidkundige Dienst (1913) by the Netherlands Indies government. After Indonesian independent, the tasks of cultural heritage documentation take over by The Ministry of Culture (now become The Ministry of Education of Culture) with focus on the ancient and classical heritage, (uninhabited buildings). The needed of comprehensive documentation data especially regarding architectural heritage become significant issues since the government and private sectors pay attention to the preservation of heritage building in the urban site, so called living monument (inhabited buildings). The archives of original drawing plan many times do not fit with the existing condition, while the conservation plan demands a document such as built drawing plan to work on. The technology, methodology and system to provide such comprehensive document of heritage building and sites become important, to supports good conservation plan and afterwards will use for heritage building regular maintenance. Architecture of Indonesia The architecture heritage in Indonesia can be summarized from a course of Indonesian Architecture which represents every period in the Indonesian history, different forms and technique that reflects the cultural diversity in each region. The contribution of the diverse tradition also has an important role in characterized the Indonesian architecture. This following general chronology of Indonesian Architecture tried to describe all the influences that contribute to the formation of Indonesian architecture.
