WCMS – Upload a video from Youtube in the right column using Feature rich (Primary page)
In principle, we do not directly upload the video file onto WCMS. We upload the video file only on Youtube.
In case of China where Youtube is not accessible, the video can be uploaded on Youku following the instructional materials item 5.6 to embed a video using Free Form but not Feature rich.
Once the video is uploaded, it is essential that the Youtube or Youku video URL must always be profiled/checked in as “Videos” type in WCMS. The steps listed below are dedicated to placing a Youtube video in the right column of the home page using Feature rich functionality which can be applied to other primary pages.

Click at the arrow down, you will see the list of “Region Content”. Select “FEATURE RICH (RGDEF_ITEMS)”, click “Next >”.
Make sure that “New Contributor data file” is selected, then click “Next >”.

2. At “Title” field, type the descriptive name of this section i.e. “Video highlight”, then click “Next >” and “Finish”. The system will generate the WCMS number for this section and bring you back to the homepage. The globe icon with green plus sign will change to the globe icon with pencil .
3. Click on (or of “Video highlight” section, select “Edit”), a new window will pop-up.

4. Fill in the information according to the video row by row. It is important that the Youtube ID must be added at the “youtube ID” field.
Add the image of the video screen (checked in beforehand) in the “Image” field. The image size is 767 x 431 pixels.
Once finish, click at “Update row and close”.

At “Text wrap”, select “No”. At “Scale”, select “Enabled”. At “Header style”, there are three options: Standard, Strong, Slim. At “Aspect ratio”, select 4:3.
Once finish filling in all information, click at “Save and close” icon at the top right corner of the screen. The system will bring back to the page.

How to get Youtube video ID?
° Open the video in Youtube i.e. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0j6MBAegem8
° Click at “Share”.
The Youtube video ID of this video is after https://youtu.be/ which is 0j6MBAegem8 .

NOTE: Because the size of the video screen in the left and right ‐hand columns is very small, it is advisable to only use videos interviews in these columns where the image shows a person talking and the person is framed from the chest up (i.e. a head and shoulders image). Videos with more details that show action shots should only be embedded in the central column, where the video screen is large enough to show the details of the video image.
