 Evaluated the effect of quantization of LP parameters and prediction residual signal using rate-distortion Statistical Signal Processing:

 Developed a model based on decision theory using a generalized likelihood ratio test to make financial and investment decisions in a bank

 Performed the expectation-maximization (EM) algorithm, maximum likelihood (ML) estimation and Bayesian estimation to determine the average lifetime of a chip Data Compression

 Designed linear phase band pass FIR filter using several design methods including windowing, frequency sampling, optimum equiripple methods, and IIR filters using different forms including Butterworth, Chebyshev, and Elliptic filters.

 Designed a digital IIR filter with a linear phase in the pass band using a new method based on frequency weighted least-square error optimization and the BFGS method

 Analyzed and modeled the process translation in gene expression using a communications and coding theory approach – supported by a fund from Pritzker Institute and Illinois Institute of Technology.

 Validated biologically -motivated coding models (codebo ok, block code and convolutional code models) for the processes of translation,

 Developed two novel regulatory sequences identification methods based on Frequency Weight Matrix and Center of Gravity concepts,

 Developed new computational algorithms and databases for systematic identification of transcriptional regulators and regulons in new genomes as they become available,

 Used principles of error control coding theory to interpret the genetic translation and transcriptions mechanisms,

 Tested the effect of various types of mutations in the ribosome on the level protein synthesis in E. coli Bacteria.

Research and Development Engineer, CO-OP, Jan 2010–Present MicroSun Technologies, LLC, Lisle, IL, USA  Was involved in electrical design and engineering of innovative rechargeable battery packs and charger systems with heavy emphasis on the research and development of alternative and renewable energy technologies,

 Designed a wireless inductive charger for variable input voltage and variable output load using LLC resonant converter topology and synchronous rectification, to be used to charge different portable devices that require different current/voltage specifications,

 Will be involved in the design of a wireless communications system that can talk to a battery pack and thereby provide an output status report that gives a detailed description of the battery charge status.

Research Aide Assiatnat, Intern, Sep 2009–Jan 2009 Argonne National Laboratory, Chicago, IL, USA  Helped to design high-energy density batteries and conducted AC impedance and circuitry modeling for Lithium-ion batteries.

 Performed synthesis of high-capacity cathode materials for Lithium-ion batteries by methods of solid-state and sol-gel reactions.

 Characterized the obtained compounds by means of x-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, and density measurements.

 Tested the materials as positive electrodes in Lithium cells.
