It was composed by Melpathur Narayana Bhattathiri in 1586 AD at the age of 27. There is a story ehid his ritig Narayaeeya. Bhattathiris Guru Ahyuta Pisharodi suffered seere attak of rheumatism and fell victim to unbearable pai. Bhattathiri ould ot ear the paiful sight of his gurus sufferig and prayed fervently to Lord Krishna for the disease to be transferred to him, thus freeing his Guru from his illness. Lord Krishna granted Bhattathiri his wish and he soon became victim to severe painful attack of rheumatism. Despite all his treatments his condition soon deteriorated into a crippled state. He decided to surrender himself at the lotus feet of Lord Krishna in the temple of Guruvayur and seek His grace. One day he met Tunjath Ezhuthachan (Ramanuja), a philosopher and a Krishna devotee of that time and requested his guidae. Ezhuthaha istruted Bhattathiri to “tart ith fish. He soo realized hat Ezhuthaha eat – that he would be cured if he could compose a hymn glorifying the 10 incarnations of Lord Krishna beginning with the fish incarnation, known as Matsyavatara. He fully surrendered himself to the feet of Lord Krishna of Guruvayur and started to compose Narayaneeyam. He wrote one Dasakam everyday consisting of ten verses and finished the entire Narayaneeyam in hundred days. At the end of each Dasakam Bhattathiri prayed for mercy and kindness from the Lord and on the 100th day the Lord lessed hi ith His diie isio. Bhattathiri s faous 0th Dasakam – starts Agre Pashyai, eaig here I see hi i frot of e – gives vivid description of the most enchanting form of Lord Krishna from head to toe. From that day Bhattathiri got completely cured of his ailments and lived to the age of 96 years as a respected philosopher, poet and a saint. Narayaneeyam has a magnetic effect on the Krishna devotees. The entire poem is written in first person singular as a direct conversation with the Lord. It was written in pain and agony by the poet and portrays the poets siere devotion and prayer to Lord Krishna. Narayaneeyam is also read as a cure for ailments and a tonic for Aayu, Aarogya, Soukhyam – longevity, health and happiness for all those who consider it with sincere devotion. How to perform Naarayaneeyam Sampoorna Narayaneeyam is recited as follows: • Perform a simple puja to Vinayaka seeking blessings to remove any obstacles and pray for a smooth completion of the Narayaneeyam. Neivedyam is Panchamrutham • Start with recitation of the Vishnu Sahasranamam starting from the "Dhyana slokam" all the way to the "Phala shruthi" in the end. • My guru always recites the Lakshmi Ashtotaram immediately following the Sahasranamam above. • Next recite the Narayana Kavacham. • Start with Narayaneeyam Dhayana slokams • Start recitation of the Narayaneeyam with dasakam 1 • List of offerings (prasadams) that are normally made following the completion of a particular dasakam. This embodiment of eternal spiritual bliss is beyond any comparison and transcends all limits of time and space. This eternal truth is free of all illusion and is all-pervading, being the root cause of the entire universe. Even the Vedas cannot fully comprehend or describe it but it can be attained through singleminded devotion by the true Bhakthas of Lord Krishna. evaM durlabhyavastunyapi sulabhatayaa hastalabdhe yadanyat tanvaa vaachaa dhiyaa vaa bhajati bata janaH kshudrataiva sphuTeyam | ete taavadvayaM tu sthirataramanasaa vishvapiiDaapahatyai nishsheShaatmaanamenaM gurupavanapuraadhiishamevaashrayaamaH || (2) Although such an easy access to eternal salvation has been offered to mankind on a silver platter in the form of Lord Krishna at Guruvayoor, common mortals, due to their inherent lowly nature, overlook the eternal benefits of this and go in pursuit of worldly pleasures. This unchanging form of Suddha Sathva embodied in Thee, transcending time and space, is the ocean of nectar giving supreme happiness to all true devotees, encompassing all the liberated souls embedded like pure pearls in the waves of this ocean. Surviving texts were written between the mid-seventeenth and the mid-eighteenth centuries. By examining the plots of Dharma Ma2gal, I hope to describe features of a precolonial Bengali warriors” culture.     Mahabharatha Tatparya Nirnaya Chapter XIX The episodes of Lakshagriha, Bhimasena's marriage with Hidimba, Killing Bakasura, Draupadi svayamwara, Pandavas settling down in Indraprastha are described in this chapter. The details of these episodes are well-known. Therefore the special points of religious and moral conduct highlights in Tatparya Nirnaya and its commentaries will be briefly stated here. Kanika's wrong advice to Duryodhana This chapter starts with instructions of Kanika an expert in the evil policies of politics to Duryodhana. This Kanika was also known as Kalinga. Probably he hailed from Kalinga region. He was a person if Bharadvaja gotra and an adviser to Shatrujna the king of Sauvira. He told Duryodhana that when the close relatives like brothers, parents, teachers, and friends are our enemies, we should talk sweet outwardly and plan for destroying them. Heretics, robbers, theives and poor persons should be employed to kill them by poison. Outwardly we should pretend to be religiously.Rituals, sacrifices etc should be performed. Taking people into confidence by these means we should hit our enemy when the time is ripe. In this way Kanika secretly advised Duryodhana to plan against Pandavas. Duryodhana approached his father Dhritarashtra and appealed to him to send out Pandavas to some other place. Initially Dhritarashtra said Pandavas are also my sons, they are well behaved, brave, they will add to the wealth and the reputation of our kingdom, and therefore, it is not proper to send them out. However, Duryodhana insisted that they should be sent out. He said he has mastered one hundred and thirty powerful hymns that will protect him from the enemies.

Indian Hindu mythology provides examples of great communicators like Narad and Hanuman who provide the earliest glimpses of journalism. Interestingly, Hindu mythology and the modern communication media have not been connected, though the literature available brings about valid connections of transformation in this communication media for the purpose of social welfare. The present paper delves into presenting a developmental picture connecting ancient India to the modern India with respect to the communication media and its role in social reformation. Analysis of mythological identities and furthermore through a series of extensive reading done by the author made believe that the motive of journalism and social participation was to bring about a social change. This study is based on connections based on descriptions available on characters and identities from Hindu mythology. The path of development of communication media has been traced down with the technological advancements in the form of chronological development of the aids and their impact on social reformation. The mythological Indian characters have passed on through stories and Vedas which have scattered appearance in the form of concrete literature. It can be seen that communication media has been instrumental in impacting the social reformation at all times.
