Artists have regular access to concert halls and practicing rooms with high-quality instruments, with the goal of maximizing every pianist's career potential. The Artists-in-Residence at Ingesund Piano Center are professionally selected through a rigorous audition process at University admission and after that max. 10 pianists per year are selected by Foundation Committee to join the residency program.     Zlata Chochieva first came to international attention with her highly-praised recordings of works by Chopin and Rachmaninov. Displaying a deep affinity with these composers, combined with probing honesty and imagination, they have established her as a distinctive voice amongst pianists. Hailed by Gramophone as “the possessor of a comprehensive technique who brings an inner glow to every bar”, Zlata Chochieva has been regularly appearing at many prestigious concert halls, most notably at Herkulessaal Munich, Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Philharmonie de Paris, Teatro La Fenice in Venice, Konzerthaus Berlin, Victoria Hall in Geneva, Tivoli Concert Hall in Copenhagen, Casa da Música Porto, the Grand Hall of the Moscow Conservatory and Grand Hall of Saint Petersburg Philharmonia. She has performed with numerous major orchestras, including the Russian National Orchestra, the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, the Copenhagen Philharmonic, the Slovak Radio Symphony, the Munich Chamber Orchestra, and the Aarhus Symphony Orchestra. Conductors Zlata has enjoyed working with include Mikhail Pletnev, Karl- Heinz Steffens, Simon Gaudenz, Terje Mikkelsen, Charles Olivieri-Munroe, Tugan Sokhiev and Vladimir Spivakov. Highlights of the previous seasons include her Wigmore Hall debut, as well as performances in Russia with the Svetlanov State Orchestra and the National Philharmonic. Alexander Jakobidze-Gitman Alexander Jakobidze-Gitman was born in Moscow in 1981 and by the age of three his musical abilities had been discerned by a prominent music teacher, Vladimir Kiryushin, on whose advice he entered the Special Music School of the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory. He studied piano with Yuri Martynov and Mikhail Trushechkin, and cello, composition and instrumentation as subsidiary subjects. He was named a laureate of the French Piano Music Festival in 1989.

Displaying a deep affinity with these composers, combined with probing honesty and imagination, they have established her as a distinctive voice amongst pianists. Hailed by Gramophone as “the possessor of a comprehensive technique who brings an inner glow to every bar”, Zlata Chochieva appears regularly at many prestigious concert halls, festivals and with major orchestras and conductors. This season, Zlata returns to Aachen Symphony Orchestra for performances of Chopin’s Piano Concerto No. 2 which follows on from having been “Artist in Focus” there in the 19/20 season. She also returns to the Serate Musicale series in Milan and Berlin Klavierfestival at the Konzerthaus as well as visiting Tilburg and Linz for recitals. She will be touring the USA giving recitals in Miami, Minneapolis and San Diego amongst others. Last season Zlata took part in a number of recital series with online concerts recorded in Berlin. Live performances included chamber music at the Gryt Festival in Sweden and Rosendal Festival in Norway as well as joining the Camerata Venia in Geneva, and giving recitals in Nizhny Novgorod and Perm in Russia. She also joined the esteemed adjudication panel for the 15th Geza Anda Competition in Zurich. Highlights of previous seasons include her Wigmore Hall debut, as well as performances in Russia with the Svetlanov State Orchestra and the National Philharmonic.

Rachel started playing the piano and cello at 4 years old and Elegie, op. 24 Gabriel Faure studies cello with Kyle Champion. Since 2011, she held the position of (1845-1924) principal cellist in the Claremont Young Musicians Orchestra (CYMO) and had the honor of playing at the Walt Disney Concert Hall. She won the Toccata Girolamo Freschabaldi CYMO Concerto Competition and played her solo with the orchestra in (1583-1643) 2011. Rachel performed her solo debut at the age of 8 as a winner of the arr. Gaspar Cassado Showcase Concerto Competition with the Redlands Youth Symphony, in which she had been the principal cellist for three years.
