Book Two the ARTIST
Chapter V – A Well Respected Man 159 Book Two THE ARTIST 160 Chapter V – A Well Respected Man Chapter V - A Well Respected Man 161 A WELL RESPECTED MAN The business of the Civil Service is the orderly management of decline. William Armstrong In the Year of the Lord 1889, the Austrian Emperor Francis Joseph celebrated his fifty-ninth birthday and forty-first anniversary of his reign over the vast Empire of Austria and Hungary; when he died, in 1916, he had ruled the state for sixty-eight years. The realm was huge - covering over 180,000 square miles or about 450,000 square kilometres. The emperor's domains stretched, in the east-west axis, from Czernowitz on the Dniester River in today's Ukraine to Vorarlberg on the Swiss border, and, in the north-south axis, from the lower Elbe River near Aussig to Ragusa in the Bosnian Hercegovina, two thirds down the eastern Adriatic coast. Ethnically and thus politically, however, these territories were hopelessly divided. The racial diversity of the Imperial population included Germans in Austria, Hungary and the Sudetenland; Czechs in Bohemia and Moravia; Slovaks to their east; Poles in western Galicia and Ruthenians, Catholic Ukrainians, in the eastern part of it; Magyars in Hungary and Transylvania interspersed with some more Germans and Romanians; Slovenes, Friaulians and Italians south of the Julian Alps; and finally Croats, Bosnians, Albanians, Montenegrinos and Serbs in and around the Balkan mountains. All these groups fought incessant but mostly inconclusive battles over appointments, representation and influence in the empire and its court, while a laborious civil administration struggled with the actual governance of the multitudes. -

The Central Role of Darwinism in the Holocaust
PAPERS || JOURNAL OF CREATION 31(3) 2017 The central role of Darwinism in the Holocaust Jerry Bergman This paper challenges the common assumption that Hitler was the main driving force behind the Holocaust due to his anti-Semitic beliefs. It is well-documented that a major driving force was social Darwinism and the belief that the Aryan race was superior and had the right and obligation to prevent deterioration of the superior race by mixing with inferior races, such as Slavic peoples, Jews, Negroes and gypsies. This race view was widely supported by both the academic and medical establishments, the main groups that designed, implemented, and carried out the Holocaust. common assumption is that the Holocaust both orig- closely with Hitler, wrote Hitler “had an amazing amount A inated and was carried out by Adolf Hitler (figure 1). of information at his fingertips, and … [was] enormously In fact, although Hitler played a central role in orchestrating well-read … he would sit up late carefully reading all the Holocaust, both the leadership and those who directed new publications”.7 Hans Frick, Hitler’s personal lawyer, and carried out the Holocaust were primarily doctors and stated before his (Frick’s) 1946 execution at Nuremberg academics, including especially anthropologists.1 One reason that Hitler carried a copy of Schopenhauer’s The World as for placing the central blame on Hitler is an attempt by Will and Representation with him throughout World War those in the professions that produced the nefarious fruits I. Schopenhauer developed some evolutionary ideas even of eugenics to deny the well-documented record of the past. -

Hitler's Vienna Jakob Altenberg Peter Jahn Worthless Books? Aftermath
Books to avoid for Hitler authentication issues On Birgit Schwarz's Geniewahn (2009) and on Brigitte Hamann's Hitlers Wien (1996) Introduction: the NIOD-Hitler Birgit Schwarz - Geniewahn Dr. Johannes von Müllern-Schönhausen Brigitte Hamann - Hitler's Vienna Jakob Altenberg Peter Jahn Worthless books? Aftermath By Jaap van den Born and Bart FM Droog The Post Online/Droog Magazine, Amsterdam/Eenrum, March 4, 2019 background material by article 'Neurenbergs veilinghuis weet toch nog een vals Hitler-aquarel te verkopen. Valse Hitler verkocht voor ruim 37.000 euro.' The Post Online, Amsterdam, March 4, 2019. 1 Introduction: the NIOD-Hitler On November 25, 2017 NIOD, the Netherlands State Institute for War, Holocaust and Genocide Studies, proclaimed to have acquired an 'almost certain authentic Hitler watercolor'.1 What NIOD stated about the provenance of this work (basically: "unknown") and the way on which the research into it was conducted (basically: by looking into a catalog of forgeries), this claim set off more than one alarm bell. We started our own investigation and consulted several forensic (art) researchers and Hitler specialists.2 One of them was the German art historian Birgit Schwarz3, as she was in the German press presented as an expert in Hitler's art and Hitler's art collection. In several press interviews she had stated that is was very difficult to determine if an alleged Hitler painting was authentic or not, because: "Hitler had as an artist not his own style, as he was a mere copyist."4 So we were quite interested in her opinion on the NIOD-Hitler. -

The Family Doctor __________________________ A full-length play By Steven Lehrer Contact: Steven Lehrer 30 West 60th Street 5M New York, New York 10023 Phone 212 765 7132 [email protected] http://stevenlehrer.com CAST DR. EDUARD BLOCH is a short heavy set older man, stocky, with a walrus moustache twisted at both ends and wavy grey hair. He wears a stiff white collar, a vest, a perky silk bow tie, and double cuffs. His appearance is old world Habsburg. KLARA HITLER is 47 years old, an intelligent, modest, kindly woman, sad and careworn in Act I but quite sexy in Dr. Bloch’s Act II dream. She is tall, with brownish hair, which she keeps neatly plaited, and an oval face with large expressive eyes. ADOLF HITLER, her only son, is eighteen years old in Act I, with a long pale face and a wispy moustache which covers most of his upper lip. In Act II he is the German Reich Chancellor Hitler familiar to us in photographs. ALOIS HITLER, Adolf’s father, is a huge, ugly, bewhiskered, hulking, powerful man, dressed in a customs officer’s uniform. The same actor plays PRIEST, DRILL SERGEANT, and PROFESSOR DR. DR. RASCH. LEO RAUBAL, Adolf’s brother in law, is a small, officious man in a well tailored suit. The same actor plays SHELTER OFFICIAL and Journalist RENATO ATTILLIO BLEIBTREU. ********************************* SYNOPSIS Dr. Eduard Bloch, a Jewish poor people’s doctor in Linz, Austria, cares for Adolf Hitler’s mother, Klara Hitler, as she dies a painful death from breast cancer in 1907.
