L'omaggio al grande pianista italiano Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli (1920-1995), per tanti anni ospite della Val di Rabbi, assieme agli anniversari di tre grandi operisti – Verdi, Wagner, Mascagni – si trasforma in un'occasione preziosa per offrire a residenti e turisti iniziative speciali e un cartellone con musicisti di fama internazionale. In programma dal 13 al 31 luglio 2013, la rassegna di quest'anno offre in varie località della valle concerti, conferenze, proiezioni di filmati e un'originale mostra di francobolli dedicati a grandi operisti. Al centro del programma si pone l'omaggio ad Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli, ma quest'anno – oltre ad un concerto di allievi del Conservatorio Bonporti di Trento – è previsto anche un accattivante e denso "Prologo", dal 13 al 19 luglio, in occasione degli anniversari di Giuseppe Verdi, Richard Wagner (bicentenari della nascita) e Pietro Mascagni (150' della nascita). Da lunedì 15 a mercoledì 31 luglio si potrà visitare la mostra filatelica Verdi, Wagner e i grandi operisti allestita nelle sale del Museo Molino Ruatti, in località Pracorno di Rabbi. -

ANNIVERS75thARY 1935 - 2010 The Music & the Artists of the Bach Festival Society The Mission of the Bach Festival Society of Winter Park, Inc. is to enrich the Central Florida community through presentation of exceptionally high-quality performances of the finest classical music in the repertoire, with special emphasis on oratorio and large choral works, world-class visiting artists, and the sacred and secular music of Johann Sebastian Bach and his contemporaries in the High Baroque and Early Classical periods. This Mission shall be achieved through presentation of: • the Annual Bach Festival, • the Visiting Artists Series, and • the Choral Masterworks Series. In addition, the Bach Festival Society of Winter Park, Inc. shall present a variety of educational and community outreach programs to encourage youth participation in music at all levels, to provide access to constituencies with special needs, and to participate with the community in celebrations or memorials at times of significant special occasions. Much of my thinking has developed considerably during the interim period, especially in light of my continuing research into nineteenth-century performance practice, but the basic arguments presented here are ones to which I would continue in essence to adhere] The title of this lecture is ‘Rethinking Romanticism’. -
Des Coups De Cœur… La Musique Prime, C'est-À-Dire Le Compositeur
Des coups de cœur… La musique prime, c'est‐à‐dire le compositeur ou l’interprète. Il s’agit de choix très subjectifs avec une règle qui est de ne pas constituer une discothèque à partir de quelques interprètes fétiches. Dans le même esprit, ce choix de l’interprétation est unique, ce qui ne signifie pas qu’il soit exclusif… Quelques commentaires succincts accompagnent ma sélection ainsi que quelques versions alternatives. Si ma discothèque fait une grande place aux interprétations de Richter, Guillels, Argerich, Oistrakh, Kogan, Kagan, Gutman, Bernstein, Karajan, Mravinski, c’est aussi parce qu’ils jouent les œuvres de Bach, Mozart, Haydn, Beethoven, Schubert, Schumann, Tchaïkovski, les musiciens de l’école de Vienne… leur répertoire est immense des classiques à la musique de notre temps. Finalement, j’ai peu d’affinité avec des musiciens au répertoire réduit comme Brendel et qui souvent critiquent la musique actuelle sauf celle qui tourne le dos à l’avenir comme Ciccolini et de façon surprenante Jean‐François Zygel. Cette liste, avec aussi ses thèmes, donnera peut être des pistes de découvertes. Mateo Albéniz, sonate par Alicia de Larrocha Dans la lignée de Scarlatti mais vraiment espagnole, une petite pièce, un petit bijou, une petite mécanique de précision, à écouter et à jouer… des années 1800. La pianiste espagnole est une experte de ces pièces courtes. C’est un cd Decca qui multiplie les feux d’artifices d’Albéniz, de Falla, de Granados et fait découvrir Mompou et Turina Charles‐Valentin Alkan, sonate de concert op 47 par Emmanuelle Bertrand et Pascal Amoyel Musicien du 19ème siècle, Alkan semble avoir été très atypique et caractériel. -

Born in Gorizia (Italy), she contributed to several large-scale research projects (systematic musicology, music interpretation and analysis, biological foundations of music, astrobiology, theoretical astrophysics, experimental elementary particle physics, history of physics, physics and music education). Her career as a musicologist began in 2007, first at the Department of Speech, Music and Hearing at KTH, Stockholm, and then in several projects on the psychology of music, psychoacoustics, expressive music performance, music theory and analysis, and music information retrieval. She directed or participated in several projects on the systematic musicology at the Centre of Systematic Musicology at the University of Graz (2009-2016) and the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm (2016-2017). She is currently researcher at the Institut Pasteur in Paris
