f 2 May 2019 Dear Minaret Community Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu, InshaAllah this letter finds you and your families in the best state of health and iman. “O you who believe, Fasting has been prescribed for you as it was prescribed for those before you, that you may attain Taqwa (piety)" [Quran 2:183] Alhamdulillah this week the College is a hub of excitement as students and staff prepare to welcome our beloved month of Ramadan. InshaAllah we will be of those chosen to receive forgiveness and blessings of this month – the fruits of our increased worship, strengthened iman and renewed intention. This letter is to share the arrangements for students and the community during Ramadan and to invite you and your families to join us each night for taraweeh and to celebrate Eid‐ul‐Fitr InshaAllah. Eid prayers will be held at Springvale campus at 8am InshaAllah. Ramadan Timetable As a reminder, from Monday 6 May the College will implement our Ramadan timetable. There will be no change to our start time and our Hifz program will continue to run each morning for students at each campus. There will however be a change to our end of school day at 2.35pm for students during Ramadan The College (including Reception) will close at 3.15pm so please make necessary arrangements to ensure your child is picked up at the earlier time. Arrangements are in place with Otobus and so students taking the College bus will arrive home earlier from Monday 6 May 2019. Taraweeh Prayers As a College, one of the reasons we look forward to Ramadan is because we are able to extend an invite to the community for taraweeh prayers each evening. It’s an honour for us to use the College facilities to bring our Minaret Family and broader community together during such a beautiful month.
