Witr Prayer Volume2 Book16 Hadith 105: Narrated Ibn Umar: Once a person asked Allah's Apostle about the night prayer. Allah's Apostle replied, "The night prayer is offered as two Rakat followed by two Rakat and so on and if anyone is afraid of the approaching dawn (Fajr prayer) he should pray one Raka and this will be a Witr for all the Rakat which he has prayed before." Nafi' told that 'Abdullah bin 'Umar used to say Taslim between (the first) two Rakat and (the third) odd one in the Witr prayer, when he wanted to attend to a certain matter (during that interval between the Rakat). Hadith 106: Narrated Ibn 'Abbas: Once I passed the night in the house of Maimuna (his aunt). I slept across the bed while Allah's Apostle and his wife slept length-wise. The Prophet slept till midnight or nearly so and woke up rubbing his face and recited ten verses from Surat "Aal- Imran." JIHAD MENURUT IBN KATHĪR DI DALAM TAFSĪR AL-QUR’ĀN AL-‘AẒĪM Anggi Wahyu Ari1 Abstrak Ini adalah penelitian tentang isu yang sensitif (Jihad) dilihat dari sudut pandang Ibn Kathir sebagai seorang ulama yang memakai metodologi tradisional-klasik di dalam penafsirannya. Penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa ketika ayat-ayat jihad di dalam Alquran bi al-ma’thur ditafsirkan dengan cara periwayatan ( ) ia tidak akan memiliki makna yang cenderung kepada kekerasan dan doktrin. Penelitian ini membantah pendapat orientalis seperti H.TH Obbrink dan Martin Van Creveld yang menyatakan bahwa ajaran jihad di dalam Islam merupakan perang suci yang bertujuan untuk membunuh orang-orang kafir, sehingga Islam memberikan hak kepada umatnya untuk membunuh penduduk kafir yang ditaklukinya apabila mereka menolak masuk Islam. pendapat ini senada dengan pendapat Ibn Qayyim al-Jauziyah dan Sayyid Qutb. Sebaliknya penelitian ini mendukung pendapat para pakar seperti Jerald F Diks, Abdul Karim Zaidan, dan Abdul Maqsith Ghazali yang menyatakan bahwa Islam tidak disebarkan melalui perperangan, dan perang dalam Islam bersifat sangat kondisional. Waliy> in the fiqh study In terms of fiqh, the word of "waliy> " has an meaning the person who according to the law (religious, traditional) obligations entrusted to attend to orphans, before the child is an adult; parties which represent a bride at the time married (is doing the ceremony with the groom).1 1. Waliy> in marriage a. Definition of waliy> and its position in marriage In marriage, the word of waliy> is a person who acts on behalf of the bride in a marriage ceremony. He was born blind. His mother would make excessive duā for him until one night she saw the Prophet Ibrahīm (alayhi salām) in her dream. The Prophet Ibrahīm (alayhi salām) gave her glad tidings that Allah had restored her son’s eyesight because of her excessive duā. Imām Bukhāri passed away on Friday, the 1st of Shawwāl, 256 H (the night before Eid al-Fitr). (Al-Hady al-Sāri – pg.477). Bardizba, the ancestor of Imām Bukhāri was a fire worshipper. In Bukhāra, Bardizba meant a farmer. Mawlānā Badr-e-Alam Sāhib stated that he met a Russian alim who pronounced it as Bardazba and he said that it means an expert. -

Mahmudul Hassan Centre for University Requirement Courses (CENURC) International Islamic University Chittagong (IIUC), Bangladesh Abstract The Holy Qur‟an encompasses the comprehensive code for mankind to live a rewarding life in this world, to rescue from the Jahannam and to enter the Jannah in the Hereafter. Īmān, Islām, taqwā, kufr, shirk, and nifāq are, the six significant terms, used in the Noble Qur‟an frequently. All of them represent the characteristics of human beings. The possessors of these characters will go to their eternal destination; the Jannah or Jahannam. The Jannah is the aftermath of īmān, Islam and taqwā. On the other hand, kufr, shirk, and nifāq lead to the Jahannam. This study intends to present the definitions and examples of these six terms according to the Qur‟anic statement, and then shed light on the impact of each character on human life quoting the evidence from the Holy Qur‟an and the Traditions of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). The possessors of these six remarkable terms are entitled successively as mu'min, muslim, muttaqī to be rewarded Jannah and kafīr, mushrik, and munāfiq to be punished in Jahannam. During the pandemic, some Muslim organisations and individual preachers have speeded up the use of such platforms as a way to communicate with people and to continue with religious practices among the umma. • Among religious rituals that have shifted online are the virtual tahlil (praying and remembering dead person), silaturahim (visiting each other) during Eid al-Fitr, haul (commemorating the death of someone), and tarawih (night prayer during Ramadan). -

The Prophet of God may be dead but his teachings remain alive The life of Muhammad before the revelation -He was an orphan His father died before he was born; his mother died when he was 3 years old; he was raised by his grandfather who died when Muhammad was 6 years old, then his uncle took care of him -He was poor but had dignity -He was from the most noble family in Quraish -He is a descendant of Prophet Abraham -He worked as a Shepard -Later on he worked as a merchant, and gained experience as how to deal with people Muhammad before the revelation -He was known among his people as Al-Ameen (The one to be trusted); and they kept their valuables with him for safe-keeping -He also was known as As-Sadiq (The one who is truthful) since he never lied or cheated -He was also known for his sound judgment. -

92 Madrasah Education System And Terrorism: Reality And Misconception Mohd Izzat Amsyar Mohd Arif ([email protected]) The National University of Malaysia, Bangi Nur Hartini Abdul Rahman ([email protected]) Ministry of Education, Malaysia Hisham Hanapi ([email protected]) Tunku Abdul Rahman University College, Kuala Lumpur Abstract Since the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001, the Islamic schools known as madrasah have been of increasing interest to analysts and to officials involved in formulating U.S. foreign policy toward the Middle East, Central, and Southeast Asia. Madrasah drew added attention when it became known that several Taliban leaders and Al-Qaeda members had developed radical political views at madrasah in Pakistan, some of which allegedly were built and partially financed through Saudi Arabian sources. These revelations have led to accusations that madrasah promote Islamic extremism and militancy, and are a recruiting ground for terrorism. Others maintain that most of these religious schools have been blamed unfairly for fostering anti-U.S. sentiments and argue that madrasah play an important role in countries where millions of Muslims live in poverty and the educational infrastructure is in decay. This paper aims to study a misconception of the role and functions of Islamic traditional religious schools which have been linked with the activities of terrorism. The study will be specifically focus on practice of the traditional Islamic school, which is locally called as ‘madrasah system’. The existing laws show that there exists non-dissidence in determining the position of children which conflicts with syariah crime. The term young offender was duly provided in the shariah procedural enactment but not in states’ shariah criminal law. Similarly, the term ‘baligh’ was defined and the position of non-baligh children was elucidated in the said law but not under the shariah procedural enactment. Hence, this articles serves to lay down the provisions of both enactments concerned and to compared them with the shariah criminal principles in terms of ascertainment of age and the position of children which are in conflict with the shariah criminal law through the ulama and Islamic fuqaha’s standpoint. -
