The previous onewas published in February 1961 and consisted of cumulated materials dating back to July 1957. Re- quests for copies of the 1961 edition stillcontinue to come in. To satisfy the interest and the demandit was decided thata new cumulative listing of current and old holdingswould best serve thepurpose. This enlarged edition contains836 items ranging by subject from military arts and sciences throughsocial and physical sciences and the humanities. These theses and dissertationswere prepared under the program supervised by the Office of the Assistant Chief of Staff for ForceDevelop- ment as described in AR 350-200 (26 April 1965). The Army Libraryserves as the recipient of these papers, copies ofwhich are submitted to it by students participating in theprogram. The manuscripts whichare listed in this edition constitutea rich source of research and shouldprove of great value to planners, policy makers, and technologists by pointingup the new trends and ideas, and should also prove equally valuable to military personnel engaged ingraduate work at civilian educationalinstitutions.
