An Erickson Interview on Fall Break: Should it really be in October? Fall Break is always on the third Wednesday of October. Students love not having school. Here is my view on Fall Break: I understand that teachers have to enter grades and get things done, but I don't like where the break is placed during the school year. Students are nally getting used to waking up early, and we also just got to know where our classes are; we have just gotten into a routine. Over Fall Break we forget everything that we've learned. My aunt is a Special Education teacher and she has the same opinion as me. "As a Special Education teacher, it's hard to get students to learn the rules and get into a routine." She was telling me who she was nally making progress with her students, and then they had Fall Break. Even though many students like having a few days off of school, it is hard for others.
