Walk the Way with Sir Hugo Brunner

Sunday 17 June – Saturday 23 June 2012 In support of Family Plus: Children’s Voice service provided by Oxfordshire Family Mediation.

Sir Hugo is very committed to the Family Plus: Children’s Voice service, which provides individual support to children and young people coping with parental separation. It gives them the opportunity to express their feelings to an independent adult, and allows for feedback to the rest of the family if the children wish this to happen. Our evaluations reveal that 100% of young people felt less anxious about what was happening at home and more able to ask for help with problems after using the Family Plus: Children’s Voice service.

Children are offered up to 6 sessions free of charge.

As a committed patron of OFM, Sir Hugo has already been instrumental in raising a substantial proportion of the target sum of £100,000 to fund the service, and in June he will be walking the 65 mile with the aim of raising the further £15,000 needed to achieve this target.

He will start from Bourton-on –the-Water on Sunday 17 June, walking a section of the Oxfordshire Way each day. It will finish at Henley-on-Thames on Saturday 23 June with a cream tea at the River and Rowing Museum.

A more detailed programme is below.
