MINUTES of the previous National oommittee meeting of October Bth, were agreed, with the following amendment to item 4, para. 3 of the Minutes proposed by Joan Hymans. This paragraph should be replaced by the following; "Joan Hymans criticised the use fot longstanding supporters of the circular letter which thanked new members for joining the Movement. She stated that this was bad public relations, of which she stressed the importance in a newly expanding organisation. She also pointed out, for the same reason, the list of members of the National Committee ought to be in alphabetical order in all publicity; and that the Executive Committee ought not to have a larger number of S.African members than British members if this was supposed to be a British organisation designed to appeal to the British public. Miss Hymans suggested that there should be someone with specific responsibility for watching the public relations aspects of circulars. It was agreed that these suggestions be referred to the Executive Committee.11 2, MATTERS ARISING - were all covered in the agenda.
