New districts: Vårby Udde Tenant-owned apartments: Lilium Community service property: Hotel Norrsken Magnolia Bostad 2019 1 2019 in brief In 2019, we strengthened our building rights portfolio through a number of acquisitions and our investment in properties for self-management took off. During the year, we started the production process on a total of 2,678 residential units, which is well in line with our target. January–December 2019 Operating profit 2019, SEK m • Net sales amounted to SEK 751 m (1,054). • The operating profit was SEK 380 m (164), of which SEK 348 m (67) refers to changes in the value of managed properties. • The net profit before tax for the period was SEK 208 380 m (22) and the profit after tax was SEK 171 m (7). 2018: SEK 164 m • Earnings per share after deductions for minority shares was SEK 3.75 (0.26). Magnolia Bostad signed an agreement to sell its part of the joint venture that owns the Skogskarlen project in Bergshamra, Stockholm. The property was acquired by Magnolia Bostad in 2014 and consists of an office building with a rentable area of around 9,000 sq.m.     Appendix 1 Overview of RES electricity support mechanisms in the EU Overview of RES electricity support mechanisms in the EU EU RENEWABLE ENERGY POLICY A major part of EU energy policy is the promotion of energy produced from renewable energy sources (RES). RES are naturally renewing energy sources, including bioenergy, solar energy, wind energy, hydropower, and geothermal energy. Electricity produced from RES has seen strong growth in the EU over the past decade, prompted in large part by the legally binding targets contained in the EU Renewable Energy Directive (Directive 2009/28/EC). While there have been decreases in the use of electricity generated from RES, the share of RES in electricity production has nevertheless grown as the consumption of fossil fuels has seen larger decreases 1. Through the promotion of energy produced from RES, the EU as a whole is on track to meet the targets it has imposed on itself by 20202. In the absence of public intervention, it would have been impossible for the EU to achieve its goals related to the promotion of electricity generated from RES3. Consequently, support schemes for electricity generated from RES have formed the backbone of the success of RES electricity penetration in the EU electricity market. To date, most RES are in some way or other still dependant on public intervention from different support schemes 4. Amongst these the seemingly most successful support scheme is the feed-in tariff (FiT), a policy mechanism aimed at accelerating investment in RES technologies. As explained in further detail below, FiTs require utilities to purchase electricity generated from RES suppliers at a percentage above the prevailing retail price of electricity.

    PLANNORD Stockholm, The 7th Nordic Planning Research Symposium, August 20th – 22nd 2015 Mika Ristimäki & Panu Söderström Finnish Environment Institute (SYKE) Development of the Urban Form in Helsinki and Stockholm metropolitan regions Backround In recent decades, the Helsinki and Stockholm city regions have been among the most rapidly growing areas in Europe. In addition to the peri-urban area surrounding a dense core area, the areas of impact of both cities include several smaller towns, various development corridors and extensive rural areas. How has the urban form of metropolitan areas been structured from the core to the fringes? How should their development be guided? Answering these questions requires international reference data so that solutions that have been successful elsewhere can be utilised in planning and decision-making, and detrimental effects can be prevented. In order to succeed, the comparison of city regions requires comparable data, applicable methods and identifying the similarities and differences of the administrative and planning systems of the studied regions. In many ways, the Stockholm metropolitan area is an important point of comparison for Helsinki. In terms of its many dimensions, urbanisation in the Stockholm region has been found to be more advanced than in Helsinki, which is why the solutions implemented in Stockholm with regard to urban form should be evaluated in relation to the development of the Helsinki region. A comparative study of the urban form in Helsinki and Stockholm was originally published in the form of a collection of articles in Finnish (ed. Söderström, Schulman & Ristimäki 2014). The publication explored the development of the city regions through GIS and statistical analyses, literature reviews and expert interviews conducted in the regions.

Med den stora makten kommer även ett ännu större ansvar. Dessa stadsmiljöer kommer bli framtida generationers livsmiljöer. Stadsmiljön ska både upplevas som trygg och vara säker. Men vad har dagens kommuner för beredskap för att planera trygga och säkra stadsmiljöer? Detta kandidatarbete har undersökt fyra kommuner i Stockholms län: Stockholms stad, Upplands Väsby kommun, Nacka kommun och Huddinge kommun. Kartläggningen rör vad för styrdokument och övrigt arbete kommunerna besitter som stöd i trygghets- och säkerhets planeringen. Dessa styrdokument har kontrollerats mot CPTED:s olika principer. Det visade sig att kommunernas arbetsunderlag innehåller inslag av CPTED:s olika principer, men i varierande grad. För att sedan kontrollera att kommunerna följer sina styrdokument och implementerar trygghet- och säkerhetsplanering gjordes en fallstudie på en utvald plats i varje kommun. Fallstudien visade att kommunerna lyckats implementerat CPTED:s principer i skiftande utsträckning i de utvalda projekten. Sedan analyserades om kommunerna använder CPTED:s principer medvetet eller om det enbart var sunt förnuft. Vidare diskuterades om dagens juridiska ramar påbjuder kommuner att planera tryggt och säkert, samt i vilket avseende. Detta visade sig inte vara fallet. Kandidatarbetet avslutade sedan med att redovisa vilka åtgärder som kan göras juridiskt och vilka brister som kan kandidatarbetet kan inrymma. Abstract This study examines how and on what basis logistics centres are located in Greater Stockholm. Its purpose is to formulate a possible future scenario regarding localisations of logistics centres in Greater Stockholm in 10-15 years. Goods transports, distribution, property characteristics, market trends, investment decisions, localisation factors, potential challenges, public plans, transport infrastructure and logistics locations have been investigated in order to form a conclusion. There is a wide range of previous research on most fields mentioned above. Yet there is a gap regarding a picture of them from a market perspective applied to Stockholm’s future. The research method is qualitative, involving 31 interviews (34 respondents) representing logistics companies, goods holders, property developers, investors, consultants and municipalities; as they are making the decisions of tomorrow, i.e. “choose” the locations. The qualitative approach has been complemented with descriptions of infrastructure, regional plans and reports in order to consolidate and complement facts and opinions from the interviews. Together they provide the basis for a final analysis and discussion followed by a possible future scenario of Greater Stockholm’s major logistics locations.
