COLUMBUS JACKETS, M3S SPORTS ANNOUNCE THE CANNON BLAST 5K RACE, PRESENTED BY MIKE’S HARD LEMONADE, ON SEPTEMBER 25 Downtown road race for runners and walkers helps kick off Columbus Blue Jackets’ 2021-22 season

COLUMBUS, OH – The Columbus Blue Jackets and Columbus-based M3Sports are teaming up to host the first-ever The Cannon Blast 5K Race presented by mike’s Hard Lemonade on Saturday, September 25, 2021. The downtown road race offers runners and walkers of all ages an active way to celebrate the start of the Blue Jackets 2021-22 season. The Blue Jackets and M3Sports also partner to host The 5th Line 5K Race presented by OhioHealth, each winter.

The Cannon Blast 5K Race begins at 8 a.m. on the Front Street Plaza outside of and takes participants on a 3.1-mile tour of downtown Columbus and the before finishing back at the Plaza. The event is limited to the first 3,000 runners and walkers. Participants may register now by visiting www.cannonblast5k.com.

Participants will receive a Columbus Blue Jackets-themed official finisher's medal, Blue Jackets-themed race shirt, two tickets to a game during the 2021-22 regular season and a post-race party with Blue Jacket celebrities. Early-bird registration, which is open now through Sunday, August 29, is $60. Pre-event registration, which will last from Monday, August 30 through race day (or until sold out), is $70.
