They are: A. Knowledge This relates to the knowledge of Islam,lslam,which leads to the attainment of goals. Specifically, itit isis what has come fromffom Allah through the saying of His Messengers. Allah, the Almighty says in the Qur'arr.Qufan "50"So know (0(O Muhammad) thatthat therethercis no true god worthy of worshipworchip exceptexcept Allah and askaslr forgivenessforgiveness for your sin."sin.' (Qur'an,(Qu/an,47:19)47:19) This issue of knowledge can be realized by learning. Those who learned it became learned individuals, and it is through learning that they became the heirs of the Prophets. The Prophets did not bequeath treasuries, but instead they bequeathedknowledge. Those who can earn it, gaina greatwealth. 3 Prophet MuhammadlAMuhammad6 said: "He who goes on a path in the pursuit of knowledge.knowledge,Allah makes the way to Heaven easy for him". Action and Deeds After knowing the importance of knowledge and the obligation of seeking it, it is also necessary to know that the salesole purpose of knowledge is to apply it in actions and deeds. Any knowledge that is not applied will have adverse consequences on those who have it. In this regard, Allah the Almighty says: oO you who believe!believe! Why do you say that which you do not do? MostMost hatefulhateful it is in thethe sightsight of Allah that you say what you do not do.do."" (Our'an(Qur'an61:2-3)61 :2-3) In addition, Prophet Muhamma~Muhamma# has emphasized the importance of practicing knowledge when he said, as Abu Hurairah (radhi (adhi Allahu 'anh)'anh) narrated, "One of the supplications of Prophet MuhammacJ3Muhamma@ 'O is '0 Allah, I seek your refuge from a knowledge that does not benefit, from a supplcationsupplbationthat is not answered, fromfrorn a heart that is not humble, and from the soul that is never satisfied'." (Addarami1/82(Addaramil/82 H337)H337\ C. Propagation or Daawah (calling people to Islam):lslam): Part of utilizing knowledge (mentioned above) is calling people to Allah. Every body of knowledge is in need for someone to call people to it and explain it to them (in order for it to be beneficial). OaawahDaawah is the responsibility of the Muslim nation, and it has a greatqreatreward. Allah the Exalted says: oO Messenger (Muhammad)! Proclaim which hashas beenbeen sentsent down to you 7 from your Lord.Lord. And if you do not,not, thenthen you have notnot conveyed HisHis Message. (Qur'an(Qufan 5:67) And who is better in speech than he who invites to Allah, does righteous deeds and say I am one of the Mus­Mus lims.fims. (Qur'an(Qu/an41:33) D. Patience After having understood the above mentioned issues, you have to bear in mirdmid that seeking knowledge, acting according to it, and calling people to Allah require patience. Thereis plenty of evidence that shows the virtue of patience and encourages its practice. Allah the Almighty says: oO you who believe,believe,endure and be more patient."patient." (Qur'an(Qufan 3:200) SeekSeek helphelp in patiencepatience and prayer. Truly Allah is with thethepatient.patient." Some of his im- portant books are Gunahane Kabira, Qalbe Salīm, Mā’ad, Barzakh etc. His books cover various moral and ethical issues. The book Gunahane Kabira deals with Greater Sins. Ayatullah Dastg- haib has exhaustively explained the phenomenon of sin, the classification of sins, and the necessity of avoiding them. He has also described fifty different types of Greater Sins. Although the English translation is based on the Urdu Edition, I have relied upon the original Arabic text while translating traditions and Qur’anic verses. Since the English equivalents of Islamic terminology do not convey the exact meaning, I have used the Arabicterms. However those who are not conversant with Arabic words may refer to the Glossary of Islamic Terms.

Imam Al-Qurthubi, mengatakan bahwa kematian bukan ketiadaan sejati dan bukan pula ketiadaan yang sebenarnya, melainkan kematian adalah terputus dan terpisahnya keterkaitan jiwa/roh dengan badan serta terpisahnya kesatuan keduanya, pergantian keadaan, dan perpindahan suatu negeri ke negeri yang lain/ dari alam dunia kea lam akhirat.26 b. Asrifin an-Nakhrawie juga mendefenisikan kematian adalah merupakan suatu kepastian yang akan terjadi, yaitu sebuah rahasia yang tak satupun manusia di jagad raya ini yang bisa memastikan kapan dia harus mati dan dima dia akan menghadap sang ilahi rabbi.     KULTUR MADRASAH PESANTREN DI SOUTH SUMATERA By: Dr. Munir, M.Ag ABSTRAK Artikel ini berjudul kultur madrasah pesantren di SumateraSelatan. Artikel ini merupakan hasil riset di Pesantren Nurul Islam Seribandung Kabupaten Ogan Ilir dan Pesantren Subulussalam Seriwangi Kabupaten OKU Timur. Hal ini dilatarbelakani oleh kenyataan bahwa pesantren di Sumatera Selatan memiliki dua akar budaya yang berbeda, yaitu pesantren yang berakar budaya asli Sumetara dan pesantren yang berakar dari Jawa melalui jalur transmigrasi. Oleh karena itu tulisan ini ingin mendiskripsikan karakteristik kultur dua madrasah pesantren tersebut dari aspek antropologi-sosiologi pendidikan, dengan pendekatan fenomenologi dengan subyek penelitian pimpinan madrash, dewan guru, peserta didik dan masyarakat pendukungnya. Adapun teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan studi dokumentasi, observasi dan wawancara mendalam, serta analisis datanya menggunakan diskrif kualitatif, dengan triangulasi dan teknik kontras. Tulisan ini menyimpulkan bahwa Karakteristik kultur madrasah berbasis pesantren di sumatera selatan dapat dibedakan menjadi dua tipologi, yaitu kultur madrasah pesantren asli Sumatera Selatan dan kultur madrasah pesantren Jawa- Sumatera Selatan. Sistem pengetahuannya menerapkan kurikulum lokal pondok pesantren dan Depag/Diknas terintergasi dalam kurikulum Madarasah Pesantren. Orientasi tata tertib cenderung ke arah hukum positif daripada hukum syara’. Pakaian para siswa mengikuti seragam pada umumnya yang dipakai di Madrasah. Untuk pakaian siswi memakai lilitan sebagai pengganti jilbab. Kegiatan kesenian yang dilakukan meliputi, barzanji, Muhadharah, tilawatil al-Qur’an, Kaligrafi, drum band. Madrasah Pesantren Jawa-Sumatera Selatan menerapkan kurikulum yang ditetapkan oleh Depag/Diknas dengan tetap mempertahankan kurikulum lokal pondok pesantren dalam program Madrasah Diniyah. Muatan kurikulum yang menjadi ciri khas tradisi Pesantren Jawa tetap dipertahankan, Kiyai dan para ustadz menjadi suber sistem pengetahuan khas Pesantren Jawa itu.

If it is obligatory, on whom: on Allah or on the community? Anyhow, its being essential is a demand of reason, that is, does mind call for his essentiality or the essen- tiality is based on the heard arguments? All the Shia scholars are unan- imous that it is essential for Allah both from the viewpoint of reason and the divine texts that He should appoint the Imam.
