news letter JUNE - JULY - AUGUST CELEBRATING JUNE, ITALIAN HERITAGE MONTH “WAVE”: WORKS BY RINO NOTO Art exhibition n this highly anticipated new series of jarring hues, the unexpectedly bold forms I expected portraits, Rino Noto contemplates and rippling landscapes – seem to echo the the ebb and flow of candid human activity. But scenes’ conceptual content. In Wave, we catch Wave’s dozen images do more than merely a brief, truncated glimpse of life’s cycles: joy, document the flux of life. Noto delves into resilience, purposeful absurdity, all presented the absurd, abstracting these intimate scenes in one interconnected package. Like a Warhol and pulling them out of conventional time silkscreen or a snapshot of daily living broken and space. These visual peaks and troughs down by the pointillism of Seurat, it’s not a inherent to Noto’s imagery – that stark simple photo we see, but an image transformed contrast between light and shadow, those – just like Noto’s many subjects.
