GREG’S PASTORAL CORNER MAY 5 & 6, 2018 Parishioners of the Portland Peninsula and Island parishes have a long history of showing their support and commitment to the Diocese of Portland by supporting the annual Catholic Appeal. At the end of the month, all parish families will be asked to make their pledge to the 2018 Catholic Appeal. We ask that you give prayerful consideration to this important request from Bishop Deeley. The Appeal funds the agencies and ministries that support thousands of our brothers and sisters in need across the state of Maine. We hope that you will respond generously. We thank you in advance for your participation in this vitally important initia- tive. This Thursday, May 10th, is the Solemnity of the Ascension of the Lord. It is a Holy Day of Obligation.
