Also called the „Mecca of the West“ and the „Athens of Africa“, Fes has the worlds biggest medina, called Fas el Bali, and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Day 10: Fes - Atlas Mountains Today we expect a long and very varied day with impressive scenery. We reach the high plains of central Morocco, where the vastness and beauty of this country emerges, while on the horizon the first foothills of the High Atlas appear. The track leads us westward and we reach our destination, an ancient village nested in the heart of the Middle Atlas where we will spend the night.
Day 11: Atlas Mountains - Marrakech The area we cross today is rich in cultural and architectural heritage: Zaouias, Kasbahs, fortified villages and well known for its souks, the weekly markets. By sunset we arrive in „Morocco‘s biggest oasis“ called Marrakech. Known as the „Pearl of the South“ or “The Red City” many consider Marrakech to be Morocco‘s most beautiful city due to its distinct oriental flair.
Day 12: Marrakech Rest day in Marrakech, the second of the imperial cities of Morocco that we visit.
Day 13: Marrakech - Casablanca - Rabat We leave Marrakech and take the road towards Casablanca at the beginning of todays route. The morning ride provides us with a worthy environment for motorcycling with its long straight sections full of sheer riding pleasure under Palm Tree alleys. Seafood and beautiful tracks make our day in the afternoon as we reach the coastline at Casablanca from where we ride towards Rabat, Morocco´s capital and the third imperial city that we visit on this tour.
