SUMMARY: This study shows and examines the population numbers of Benalauría in Malaga, analysing the different censuses carried out during the 18th century, from the neighborhood of Campoflorido, to the census of Floridablanca. Similarily, and treated as context, a review of the existing population is made since the incorporation of this town into the Castilian jurisdiction. The population growth and variations reflected in the censuses of the 18th century are analyzed. KEY WORDS: Benalauría, Serranía de Ronda, Genal Valley, Census, Neighborhood of Capoflorido, En- senada Census, Census of Aranda, Census of Floridablanca, Population.
