Overall status of 61 prioritized projects : Projects inaugurated: 15 nos. For 1 Overall status - Projects ready for inauguration: 7 nos. information Projects in progress: 39 nos. Hon’ble CM requested to provide timelines for all the prioritized projects. Secretary, WRD briefed the current situation of the state for the rainfall, ground water and water demand. Secretary, WRD Informed: — There is a need of urgency for efficient water management to protect state from the Drought and meet water supply demands. — All the Chief Engineers has the clear understanding of Water demand and water inflows of the projects in their region. Secretary, WRD instructed — All the Chief Engineers to conduct district level workshop to create awareness For 2 Water Management among the citizens about proper water management, water - information available/requirement and schedule for water release based on requirement. The process should be carried out with full transparency and without creating havoc in the local for water demands. Hon’ble CM instructed to discuss on Water Management during the collector’s conference on 25th -26th Oct’18. Hon’ble CM also instructed to carry out Water management schemes, Neeru- Pragathi, Cascades, Farm ponds and Ridge to Valley concepts as per the programme and should be done judicially. CE, KDS informed two pumps trial run done & remaining Chintalapudi Lift four pumps will be installed by Nov’18. A court case pending on LA at Kovurupadu, For 5 - Irrigation Scheme which is affecting canal linking works. Information Hon’ble CM instructed to expedite works and release agreed 700 cusecs of water. Earthwork to the tune of 39.69 lakh 31 Venugopala sagar Reservoir cum, concreting of 33,300 cum and bund making for a lengh of 1.52 Km is to 31/Dec/18 be executed. All formalities required for stage-I clearance have been uploaded. Earthwork to Somasila Swarnamuki link canal. (from 32 the tune of 10.60 lakh cum, concreting of 18,800 cum and canal excavation for 31/Dec/18 km 56.000 to 100.425) a lengh of 4.745 Km is to be executed. Lifting of water from SSG Canal to Reservoir retender is called and is online from 15 Oct'18. Lift portion 33 31/Mar/19 Althurupadu Reservoir (2.356 TMC) agreement concluded and work is in progress Projects in progress under purview of CE, Anantapur Work stopped due to water release in to the Canal. Work will be resumed after Widening of HNSS Main Canal under closing of canals. 34 31/Mar/19 Phase-I Earth work of 1.47 Cr cum and concrete of 3.12 lakh cum is to be exuecuted. Civil works- LA Work is under progress and DN is published for LA of 870 Lifting water from Jeedipalli Reservoir 35 acres. 30/Jun/19 to Bhairavanithippa Project. Electro-mechanical works tenders are finalized and Agreement was concluded. Water lifting from Jeedipalli Reservoir 36 LA works and Canal Earth Work Excavation are in progress. 30/Jun/19 to Upper Pennar Upto 40th KM : Earthwork of 7.18 lakh cum and concrete of 1.71 lakh cum is to be executed.

Information Projects Secretary, WRD informed that all CEs to note that water to be filled in all the tanks. Phase 1- 40% filling in all tanks & Phase 2- 30% and Phase 3-30%. Until Phase-1 For 3 Filling of tanks 40% is not filled in all tanks, phase 2 cannot be initiated. - Information Ensure to fill all the tanks by gravity, otherwise fill by minor lifts.

For 2 - Tirupathi CE, TGP informed action has initiated to entrust the part of work to another information agency.

Neeru Chettu For 2 - Cascade schemes Hon’ble CM instructed to clear the balance payments (~INR 700 Cr) to all the Information contractors in Neeru Chettu Program. Secretary, Finance informed that this amount is not included in the budget. Hon’ble CM instructed to borrow money and clear the payments at the earliest.

Consequently, the social as well as economic conditions of any region is disoriented. Natural hazards cannot be prevented but the loss can be minimized to some extent by taking appropriate disaster mitigation strategies. These strategies can be achieved by developing early warning systems and developing effective communication systems to take immediate action during the incidence of disasters, improving medical services and training to the people individually; how to react when disaster warning announced in a region, on their own without waiting for the help. Thus, disaster management includes warning, prevention, planning, preparedness, monitoring, and assessment and relief activity.
