APPLICATION PROCEDURE
Once the nomination is received the Incoming Area Coordinator will confirm it if appropriate and, in due time, the Officer will directly contact the student with all relevant information and instructions on how to fill out the on-line UD form and what documents are to be provided before arrival:
- Copy of legal ID card or passport - Copy of European Health Insurance Card (only for EU citizens) and of private insurance (all students). See below INSURANCE INFORMATION - Home Institution’s statement of the student’s participation in the mobility to UD: a confirmation letter indicating that the student has been selected to our university - Passport-sized photograph with white background saved as jpg file named with student’s name and surname - If relevant, provisional Learning Agreement signed by student and Home University coordinators - In case of Special Needs, certificate or medical report stating diagnosis

LANGUAGE AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS No official certificate is required. Students should have enough knowledge of either Spanish or English to follow lessons and sit exams
In general, minimum B1, although a B2 is strongly recommended A B2 in either language is compulsory for Engineering degrees A B2 or C1 is compulsory for some courses from the Modern Languages degree
It is strongly advised that, if the student does not speak any Spanish, they at least take the Intensive Spanish Course we offer before the semester begins. Otherwise no course for absolute beginners can be guaranteed for the regular course. Both courses are free of charge (except learning materials). If the student is not ready to take courses in Spanish, please check our academic offer in English and make sure before they come that there are enough courses for them to take in order to avoid possible future problematic situations regarding this issue.
MASTER & PhD STUDENTS Each master or PhD programme might have a different language requirement, but a C1 in the language of tuition is usually required. Please check with us if you need any further information. Permission for acceptance must be forwarded to the director of the programme who might also require further documents such as Transcript of Records to decide on the acceptance of the exchange student.

PROCEDIMIENTO PARA PREPARAR LA ESTANCIA
Una vez recibida la nominación, si procede, la Coordinadora del Área Incoming la confirmará por e-mail, y a su debido tiempo la técnico del área se pondrá en contacto con el alumno directamente para darle toda la información relevante y las instrucciones necesarias para rellenar el formulario on-line de Deusto y preparar la documentación obligatoria, así como para preparar su estancia con nosotros:
- Copia del pasaporte o tarjeta nacional de identidad - Copia de la Tarjeta Sanitaria Europea (sólo para ciudadanos de la UE) y/o seguro privado (todos los estudiantes). Ver información más abajo - Carta de nominación confirmando la participación del alumno en el programa de movilidad a la Universidad de Deusto - 1 fotografía tamaño pasaporte escaneada con el nombre y apellidos del alumno en archivo .jpg - Contrato de estudios (Learning Agreement) provisional firmado por los coordinadores de la universidad de origen si así lo requiere ésta - En caso de tener necesidades especiales, documento acreditativo del diagnóstico

REQUISITOS LINGÜÍSTICOS
ESTUDIANTES DE GRADO No hace falta certificación oficial. El alumno debe tener suficiente nivel para poder seguir cursos y hacer exámenes en español y/o inglés.
En general, mínimo B1, aunque se recomienda encarecidamente un B2. Para Ingeniería se requiere un B2 en cualquiera de los dos idiomas B2 o C1 en inglés y/español para algunos cursos del grado en Lenguas Modernas
Se recomienda que si el alumno no tiene conocimientos de español, se inscriba por lo menos en el curso intensivo de español como lengua extranjera que se imparte antes del comienzo del semestre. Si no lo hiciera, es posible que no haya grupo disponible para el curso regular de español que tiene lugar durante el semestre. Si el alumno no está preparado para seguir cursos en español, se ruega comprobar la oferta académica en inglés para confirmar que el alumno tiene suficientes asignaturas que cursar y así evitar posibles problemas una vez en la Universidad de Deusto. ESTUDIANTES DE MÁSTER Y DOCTORADO Cada programa de master y doctorado puede tener un requisito de lengua diferente, pero normalmente se requiere un C1 en el idioma en que se imparte el programa. Por favor consultar para cada programa. En cualquier caso, la aceptación se hace de manera individual por el director del programa. Es posible que se requiera documentación adicional para decidir sobre dicha aceptación.

Sí existe esta posibilidad siempre y cuando, 24 de los 30 créditos ECTS ordinariamente obligatorios pertenezcan a la titulación para la cual el alumno de movilidad viene nominado.
