Major Achievements during 2009-10 Integrated Child Development Scheme (ICDS) During the year 2009 -2010, an amount of Rs. 8200 crore is expected to be spent on ICDS against the expenditure of Rs. 6376 crore during 2008-09. As a result, there has been a sizeable increase in operationalsation of Projects from 6120 to 6705 and Anganwadi Centre/ Mini-Anganwadi Centre from 10.4 lakh to 11.5 lakh, representing a significant step forward towards universalization of ICDS.
