In addition, Reliance will be contracting a deepwater rig to develop the Dhirubhai discovery. TEACHERS’ PROGRAMMES TEACHERS’ ORIENTATION- 17th JUNE Deacon Ivan D’souza conducted an orientation for teachers during which teachers were taught how to overcome their drawbacks by converting their weaknesses into strengths, which ultimately enhances self- esteem. He spoke about the importance of struggle to gain victory and about how a teacher can be an ideal mentor. TRAINING SESSION- 24TH JULY One of our Hindi teachers attended a training session, regarding the change in the question paper format for Stds. IX and X. Our Maths teacher attended a training session regarding the Accelerated Learning Programme for Std. IX. IIMUN SESSION- 27TH AUGUST This was a session conducted by the Indian International Model United Nations to generate feedback about the previous workshop attended by our students. Our students participated in the inter-school discussion and debate on current affairs, at the Leadership Summit in April this year. TEACHERS’ DAY CELEBRATION- 2ND AND 3RD SEPTEMBER The students put up a programme in the school hall, involving a skit, speeches, group songs and dance performances to entertain the teachers. A special mass was conducted for the teachers the next day. The PTA organised a lunch party for the teachers at Saisa, a popular club in Bandra. It was an enjoyable day with games, music, dance and a sumptuous lunch.
