VISITORS GUIDE R7 SW ND 2017 MEDORA Visiting Medora Medora, the city that has embraced the Western heritage and way of life, is the gateway to the Theodore Roosevelt National Park and the North Dakota Badlands. Former President Theodore Roosevelt came here more than 125 years ago, tried his hand at cattle ranching and used his experiences to eventually help become one of the country’s most historically signifi cant leaders. In America, we enjoy national parks and national forests because of TR’s vision and foresight. He has been called the “great conservation president,” and these Badlands have been referred to as the “cradle of conservation” because his experience here shaped much of his think- ing. It is proud to have the park named in his honor in its backyard. It is also home to the nationally recognized Medora Musical that plays at 7:30 p.m. every day from June 3 to Sept. 9; the Maah Daah Hey Trail, one of the best trails for horseback, hiking and biking in the country; one of the top public courses in the nation at Bully Pulpit ; the famous Pitchfork Fondue steak fry, and many special events scheduled throughout the year.

MEDORA MUSICAL The all-new Medora Musical will be performed nightly from June 3 through Sept. 9. The family-friendly musical is enjoyed in the outdoor splendor of the North Dakota Badlands in the 2,852-seat Burning Hills Amphitheatre. This high-energy, western musical is dedicated to the legacy of America’s 26th president, Theodore Roosevelt, and the time he spent in the North Dakota Badlands. The Medora Musical is pro- fessionally produced and showcases American patriotism. Along with comedy and nationally known variety acts, the show combines exciting song and dance routines performed by the Burning Hills Singers and accompanied by the on-stage band, the Coal Diggers. Cast members invite children to join them on stage before the show at 7:15 p.m. Call 1-800-MEDORA-1 (1-800-633-6721), visit Ticket Junction while in Medora or go online at www.medora.com to reserve your Medora Musical tickets.
