As we enter another month in a National Lockdown, we look tentatively towards the 22nd February when the government offer to publish a “roadmap”, that will allow Britain to “begin steadily reclaiming our lives”. Schools will not open until March at the earliest, and officials are working on proposals which could see most shops closed until April, and pubs and restaurants shut until May.

Whilst majority of the population concentrates on working/ schooling from home, supporting vulnerable, or shielding with family, Leicestershire Police continue to cover reports of COVID breaches (over 16,000+ reported in 2020). We are taking action and issuing fines (FPN - Fixed Penalty Notice) to those caught breaking the regulations and the FPN currently stands at £200 for the first offence, doubling for further offences up to a maximum of £6,400.
