3B2 to Ps Tmp 1..43 1984L0169 — EN — 22.01.1991 — 001.001 — 1 This document is meant purely as a documentation tool and the institutions do not assume any liability for its contents ►B COUNCIL DIRECTIVE of 28 February 1984 concerning the Community list of less-favoured farming areas within the meaning of Directive 75/ 268/EEC (United Kingdom) (84/169/EEC) (OJ L 82, 26.3.1984, p. 67) Amended by: Official Journal No page date ►M1 Commission Decision 91/25/EEC of 18 December 1990 L 16 25 22.1.1991 Corrected by: ►C1 Corrigendum, OJ L 112, 4.5.1991, p. 79 (91/25/EEC) 1984L0169 — EN — 22.01.1991 — 001.001 — 2 ▼B COUNCIL DIRECTIVE of 28 February 1984 concerning the Community list of less-favoured farming areas within the meaning of Directive 75/268/EEC (United Kingdom) (84/169/EEC) THE COUNCIL OF THE EUROPEAN COMMUNITIES, Having regard to the Treaty establishing the European Economic Community, Having regard to Council Directive 75/268/EEC of 28 April 1975 on mountain and hill farming and farming in certain less-favoured areas (1), as last amended by Directive 82/786/EEC (2), and in particular Article 2 (2) thereof, Having regard to the proposal from the Commission, Having regard to the opinion of the European Parliament (3), Whereas Directive 75/276/EEC (4) indicates which areas in the United Kingdom are included in the Community list of less-favoured areas within the meaning of Article 3 (4) of Directive 75/268/EEC; Whereas, pursuant to Article 2 (1) of Directive 75/268/EEC, the Government of the United Kingdom has requested an extension, via a redefinition, of its less-favoured areas; whereas Directive 75/276/EEC should therefore be replaced by this Directive; Whereas, pursuant to Article 2 (1) of Directive 75/268/EEC, the Government of the United Kingdom has informed the Commission that it wishes six areas to be included in the Community list of less- favoured farming areas and has supplied information concerning the characteristics of the areas in question; Whereas the following criteria of the presence of infertile land as referred to in Article 3 (4) (a) of Directive 75/268/EEC were used to determine eachof thezones in question: grassland accounting for more than 70 % of the total utilized agricultural area, a stocking rate of less than one livestock unit per forage hectare and farm rents not exceeding 65 % of the national average; Whereas the concept of economic results of farming appreciably below average, as referred to in Article 3 (4) (b) of Directive 75/268/EEC, was adopted in terms of a labour income per man-work unit not exceeding 80 % of the national average; Whereas low population density, as referred to in Article 3 (4) (c) of Directive 75/268/EEC, was defined as not more than 55 inhabitants per square kilometre, excluding the population of urban and industrial centres (the national and Community averages being 229 and 163 inha- bitants per square kilometre respectively); whereas, excluding the urban and industrial centres, the minimum percentage of the total working population engaged in agriculture is 30 %; Whereas for defining the areas affected by specific handicaps that may be classified as less-favoured areas as referred to in Article 3 (5) of Directive 75/268/EEC, the criterion was the existence of both adverse natural production conditions (steep slopes, very strong winds, poor drainage) and handicaps resulting from the geographical situation (island location); whereas, moreover, the extent of the less-favoured areas in question does not exceed 2,5 % of the Member State's area; Whereas the type and level of the abovementioned criteria used by the Government of the United Kingdom to determine the areas communi- cated to the Commission comply with the characteristics of less- (1) OJ No L 128, 19. 5. 1975, p. 1. This project is to purchase new digital piano, an essential instrument for the group. The current piano has become obsolete, it is 22 years old and no longer fit for purpose as parts cannot be obtained. They are committed to holding events on a regular basis to ensure social inclusion for all, and to look out for and support each other at all times, improving the quality of life within the community and contributing to social cohesiveness.

    NEWS RELEASE Issued by the Telephone 02920 395031 Boundary Commission for Wales Caradog House Fax 02920 395250 1-6 St Andrews Place Cardiff CF10 3BE Date 25 August 2004 FINAL RECOMMENDATIONS FOR THE PARLIAMENTARY CONSTITUENCIES IN THE PRESERVED COUNTY OF DYFED The Commission propose to make no change to their provisional recommendations for five constituencies in the preserved county of Dyfed. 1. Provisional recommendations in respect of Dyfed were published on 5 January 2004. The Commission received eleven representations, five of which were in support of their provisional recommendations. Three of the representations objected to the inclusion of the whole of the Cynwyl Elfed electoral division within the Carmarthen West and South Pembrokeshire constituency, one objected to the name of the Carmarthen West and South Pembrokeshire constituency and one suggested the existing arrangements for the area be retained. 2. The Commission noted that, having received no representation of the kind mentioned in section 6 (2) of the Parliamentary Constituencies Act 1986, there was no statutory requirement to hold a local inquiry. The Commission further decided that in all the circumstances they would not exercise their discretion under section 6 (1) to hold an inquiry. Final recommendations 3. The main objection to the provisional recommendations was in respect of the inclusion of the Cynwyl Elfed electoral division in the Carmarthen West and South Pembrokeshire constituency. It was argued that the division should be included in Carmarthen East and Dinefwr on the grounds that the majority of the electorate in the division fell within that constituency and that inclusion in Carmarthen East and Dinefwr rather than Carmarthen West and South Pembrokeshire would reduce the disparity between the electorates of the two constituencies and would bring them closer to the electoral quota.

WELSH STATUTORY INSTRUMENTS 2011 No. 683 (W.101) LOCAL GOVERNMENT, WALES The Pembrokeshire (Communities) Order 2011 Made - - - - 7 March 2011 Coming into force in accordance with article 1(2) and (3) The Local Government Boundary Commission for Wales has, in accordance with sections 54(1) and 58(1) of the Local GovernmentAct 1972(1), submitted to the Welsh Ministers a report dated April 2010 on its review of, and proposals for, communities within the County of Pembrokeshire. The Welsh Ministers have decided to give effect to those proposals with modifications. More than six weeks have elapsed since those proposals were submitted to the Welsh Ministers. The Welsh Ministers make the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred on the Secretary of State by sections 58(2) and 67(5) of the Local Government Act 1972 and now vested in them(2). Title and commencement 1.—(1) The title of this Order is The Pembrokeshire (Communities) Order 2011. (2) Articles 4, 5 and 6 of this Order come into force— (a) for the purpose of proceedings preliminary or relating to the election of councillors, on 15 October 2011; (b) for all other purposes, on the ordinary day of election of councillors in 2012. (3) For all other purposes, this Order comes into force on 1 April 2011, which is the appointed day for the purposes of the Regulations. Interpretation 2.
