As holidays go, Halloween is a relatively new one. It didn’t really get rolling in its current format in America until the last century. It doesn’t have deep religious or patriotic significance to most people, and it doesn’t honor anyone specific. Despite this, Halloween is a holiday on which the Tooele Valley shines. It starts with an outpouring of community spirit. Thousands of chil- dren and their parents fill the streets of downtown Tooele in the largest community gathering of the year.
