Sunday Services

On most Sundays of the year you will find three different types of service in our churches

8.00 am Holy Communion Quiet said early morning service according to the Book of Common Prayer

10.00 am Parish Eucharist Modern language Communion service with hymns and sermon. Refreshments 6.30 pm Evensong Quiet evening service , according to the (1st & 4th Sun- Book of Common Prayer with reflective days) sermon

In addition to these services, there is a monthly Taize Service at 5.00pm, which is a reflective service with silence and singing accompanied by our music group. There is also a monthly modern language evening service which includes laying on of hands and prayers for the sick, and a monthly all-age service especially suited to families. The monthly pattern for these services across the three Churches is set out on the following page.

3rd Sunday: 8.00 am Holy Communion (Ickleton) 10.00 am Parish Eucharist (Hinxton) 6.30 pm Evening Prayer with Laying on of Hands (Duxford)

4th Sunday: 8.00 am Holy Communion (Hinxton) 10.00 am All Age Service (Duxford) 6.30 pm Evensong (Ickleton)

This calendar contains details of services planned for the three churches of Duxford, Hinxton and Ickleton for September/October 2017. Regular weekday activities include a Bible Study Group, Prayer Group and Julian Group. Bell Ringers ring at both Duxford and Ickleton. We have an open bap- tism policy and there are services suitable for families in each church. There is a monthly Sunday School at Ickleton on the first Sunday in the month, to which children from all the villages are welcome. And because the Church of England is for everyone in the communities it serves, we are here for you at every stage of your life.
