Box 2194 Accra - Ghana Our Ref: COP/CO/VOL.35/0610/18 Tel/Fax: 233-302-772193 May 04, 2018 ALL ASSEMBLIES THE CHURCH OF PENTECOST WORLDWIDE Dearly Beloved, We thank the Lord God Almighty for seeing us through the 43rd Session of the General Council Meetings held at the Pentecost Convention Centre, Gomoa Fetteh, under the theme, “Remain in Christ and in His Basic Message” (1 John 2:24-25). The Lord spoke to us in diverse ways and His awesome presence was manifested in our midst through the ministration of His word, various prophecies and songs. He has promised to be with us and grant us the grace needed to remain in Him and in His basic message. To Him alone be the glory and honour now and forevermore. Below are some of the decisions that were taken during the meetings: Dedication of Police Station Complex at the Pentecost Convention Centre By the grace of God, the ultra-modern Police Station Complex that has been constructed at the Pentecost Convention Centre, Gomoa Fetteh was dedicated to the Lord on Wednesday, May 2, 2018. The facility was commissioned by the Vice President of the Republic of Ghana, His Excellency Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and assisted by the Inspector General of Police, David Asante Appeatu. Election of Chairman Apostle Eric Nyamekye has been elected Chairman of The Church of Pentecost to replace Apostle Prof. Opoku Onyinah who has completed two terms of meritorious and dedicated service. Election of General Secretary Apostle Alexander Nana Yaw Kumi-Larbi has been re-elected General Secretary of the Church for another five-year term. 1 Election of Executive Council Members The following ministers have been elected members of the Executive Council for a five- year term: 1. Apostle Dr. Daniel Otchere Walker (Ghana Rep.) 2. Apostle Samuel Yaw Antwi (Ghana Rep.) 3. Prophet David Kankam (Ghana Rep.) 4. Apostle Ousmane Zabre (Africa Rep.) The International Missions Director, Apostle Emmanuel Gyesi-Addo, and all other Executive Council members are continuing their terms. Review of Executive Council Members The following members of the Executive Council who have meritoriously and sacrificially served their terms and are nearing their retirement were reviewed: 1. Apostle Dr. Alfred Koduah (He served for 15 years) 2. Apostle Ekow Badu Wood (He served for 10 years) Creation of Areas Bawku, Tepa, Sogakope and Down Town-Ofaakor Areas will be created in September 2018. See appendix 1. Creation of Districts Fifty-eight (58) districts will be created in September 2018. See appendix 2. Creation of PIWCs West Hills Worship Centre has been converted into a PIWC. Tesano Worship Centre has been converted into a PIWC. Creation of New PENSA Sector PENSA Winneba Sector is created out of PENSA Central Region. Schools within Cape Coast, Assin Fosu and Dunkwa Areas will form the new Cape Coast Sector while schools in Mankessim, Winneba and Swedru will form the new Winneba Sector. Change of Name of Districts and Assemblies Anorhuma District in Kaneshie Area is now to be known as Lapaz District. Bremang Extension District in Suame Area is now to be known as Nkontwima District. Aduman Assembly in Pokuase District in Achimota Area is now to be known as Semarco Assembly. 2 Kpobikorpe Assembly in Kutunse District in Achimota Area is now to be known as New Tesano Assembly. NOM Assembly in Oforikrom District in Bompata Area is now to be known as Macedonia Assembly. Relocation of District Wassa Manso is moved from Tarkwa Area and placed under Sekondi Area. Call to the Full-Time Ministry One hundred and fourteen (114) brothers have been called to the full-time ministry. See appendix 3. Upgrading to Full Overseership Ninety-nine (99) probationary overseers have been upgraded into full overseership. See appendix 4. Call to the Pastorate One hundred and fifteen (115) overseers were called to the pastorate. See appendix 5. Pastor Dan Nii Tieko Tackie of PIWC Atomic, who was downgraded has been reinstated to the apostleship. Overseer John Odoi Korang of Ashiyie District who was downgraded has been reinstated to the pastorate. Overseer Alex Bandah of Adidome District who was downgraded has been reinstated to the pastorate. Overseer George Ayisi Asare of Anhweafutu District who was downgraded has been reinstated to the pastorate. Sick Leave By the grace of God, Pastors Samuel Kusi Asumadu and Ebenezer Ayivi-Okoampah who were given sick leave last year are now well and back to continue in the ministry. Pastor Opoku Kissi is to proceed on one year sick leave. Pastors Augustine Anambe and Michael Ofori have been given additional one-year sick leave in order to recuperate. Electoral Commission Eld Benjamin Ampomah Boateng has been appointed as a member of the church’s Electoral Commission. National Radio & TV Ministry Committee (NRTVMC) The following have been appointed as members of the NRTVMC: Ps Isaac Annor Ps Kwasi Annor National Discipleship & Leadership Development Committee (NDLDC) Aps Vincent Anane Denteh replaces Aps John Appiah Aidoo as member of the NDLDC. Aps William Boakye Agyarko replaces Aps Matthew Larbi Wettey as member of the NDLDC. Ps Joseph Owusu Boateng replaces Ps. Franklin Hushie as member of the NDLDC. Ps Dr Amakye-Quayesi has been appointed as PTS/PUC rep on the NDLDC. Other Appointments Aps Dr Emmanuel Anim has been appointed as Pentecost Theological Institutions Coordinator. 6 Ps Enoch Odame has been appointed as Chaplain to the Pentecost Hospital, Madina. Ps Daniel Nii Tieko Tackie has been appointed as Chaplain and Lecturer to the Pentecost Theological Seminary, Gomoa Fetteh. Ps Emmanuel Paa Sekyi Yirebi has been appointed as Chaplain to Tobinco Group of Companies. Ps Daniel Danso has been appointed as Chaplain to Jospong Group of Companies. Ps Kwasi Annor has been appointed as General Manager of PENT TV. Ps James Agyin has been appointed as Projects, Development and Estate Manager. Ps Benedict Eghan has been appointed as personal assistant to the Chairman. Area Youth Pastor Ps Franklin Kumi Lartey has been appointed Area Youth Pastor for Koforidua Area. Ps Ebenezer Agyapong has been appointed Area Youth Pastor for Teshie Nungua Area. Ps Solomon Azagisiya has been appointed Area Youth for Berekum Area.
