The final book in this powerful series focuses on the shocking influence of atheistic and humanistic religions, including Agnosticism, Nazism, Scientology, Communism, and Naturalistic Religions! he information within this volume is so valuable for the Church Tin the Western World where anti-God and pro-evolution religions are expanding rapidly. Written to refute those religions and show how they fail, unlike most books on world religions, this title dives into the secular nature of these false doctrines and shows: ✟ The need to be able to spot their tenets and oppose them instead of allowing them to subtly infiltrate our Christianity and undermine us. ✡ How you can powerfully refute these humanistic religions and cults. ✠ How to effectively present the gospel to people who have been deceived. This book starts with God’s Word as the absolute authority. In doing so, God becomes our guide to refute false religions, and highlights the true power of His Word. Ultimately, there are only two religions in the world: God’s true religion and the religions of man. All of man’s religions are simply variations of humanism in its broadest sense. If there is only one thing to Tbe remembered from reading this three-volume set (dealing with world religions, cults, and philosophical systems), it is that all religions outside of God’s true religion are religions of man. They are simply variations of humanism (in its broadest sense). It is the case of God’s Word vs. man’s word. In one fashion or another, man’s ideas have been elevated to take people away from the truth of God’s Word and deposit them in one version or another of a man-made religion.God vs. man is still the consistent theme with the final book in this series. This final volume focuses on religions that tend to oppose God by claiming He doesn’t exist or reduces God to a strange concoction of illusion and irrelevancy. These variations of humanistic/secular religions now dominate the state school systems, museums, media, universities, and so forth in our Western world. It has been causing a culture change from Christian to secular. Begin- ning about 200 years ago, there was a slow and gradual takeover — simply because few Christians have opposed this religion for so long.1 Interestingly, most of the secular religions in this volume usually have no problem calling themselves “humanistic.” In fact, they are often proud of it. For example, they revel in the religion of man so much that secularists even have a “humanist of the year” award since 1953. Over the years, it 1. This is in part because many Christians began incorporating elements from secular reli- gions into their doctrine. For example the most common way was to accept the secular origins account over the Bible’s origins account. See chapter 11 on Christian syncretism in this volume for more on this subject. — 7 — 8 — World Religions and Cults • Volume 3 included the likes of Sir Julian Huxley (agnostic), Dr. Carl Sagan (atheist), Dr. Richard Dawkins (atheist), and TV personality Bill Nye (agnostic)! Notice how humanism can incorporate varied secular beliefs like agnos- ticism or atheism and so forth (materialists, naturalists, etc.). We see this clearly with the secular emblems frequently placed on cars that say “COEX- IST.” It is cleverly written out using each letter as a symbol of various reli- gions like Islam’s crescent moon and star for the “C” and the Yin Yang symbol of Taoism for the “S.” And of course, they end with the “T” being the Christian cross symbol. It is not unlike the cover of this book series where we have utilized certain letters from various world religions to be letters that are used in the title, World Religions and Cults. For example, the “A” in our World Religions and Cults title is the atheist “A,” and the “C” in cults is the Muslim symbol of the crescent moon and star. However, COEXIST has a much different purpose than this world reli- gions book series. COEXIST is meant to impose or promote a religious belief (that all religions are acceptable except those that say they are the only way, like Christianity). In other words, the COEXIST worldview is that people, like Christians, should be tolerant and stop saying there is only way — through Jesus Christ. Make no mistake, COEXIST is a means to try to silence Christianity and any religion that would claim an exclusive answer to mankind’s problems. COEXIST is essentially a subtle statement that Christianity is false and those promoting COEXIST are right. Would those holding to a COEXIST philosophy, be tolerant of the Christian belief that Christ is the only way? Not at all. They cry for tolerance but are intolerant themselves. Notice how it is a self-refuting attack on Christianity. Yet COEXIST appears on the bumpers of those holding to religions like atheism, agnosticism, and secular humanism. Interestingly, secularists like this are usually more than happy to allow for multiple lines of belief (this is syncretism, where more than one religion is mixed with another), as long as it is not
