Przegląd Geopolityczny jest kwartalnikiem założonym w 2009 roku w Częstochowie i redagowanym dotychczas w tamtejszym Instytucie Geopolityki. Dzięki staraniom założyciela i pierwszego naczelnego redaktora, Leszka Sykulskiego, stał się on jednym z głównych periodyków naukowych w Polsce w dziedzinie geopolityki i stosunków międzynarodowych. Od stycznia 2016 roku jest oficjalnym organem Polskiego Towarzystwa Geopolitycznego (PTG), a odpowiedzialność za jego redagowanie przejął specjalnie powołany zespół w Krakowskim Oddziale Terenowym PTG. Zmiana ta nie oznacza odejścia od kierunku działalności, jaki został wytyczony przed siedmiu laty. Nadal zamierzamy służyć idei „upowszechniania badań geopolitycznych” i „instytucjonalizacji geopolityki w Polsce”, co było głównym celem Przeglądu Geopolitycznego od samego początku jego istnienia1. Takie sformułowanie celów działalności było uzasadnione tym, że geopolityka znajdowała się w bardzo trudnej sytuacji z uwagi na jej marginalizację w całym okresie PRL. Chociaż tematyka geopolityczna w ostatnich latach stała się bardzo popularna, sytuacja geopolityki jako nauki nie poprawiła się. W wielu środowiskach akademickich reprezentanci nauk politycznych uważają ją za dyscyplinę zanikającą, „dogorywającą”, nie nadążającą za „postępem” i skompromitowaną. Od geopolityki stronią także geografowie, w tym reprezentanci geografii politycznej, uważający ją za dyscyplinę „skażoną determinizmem” i przestarzałą. O nieufności geografów w stosunku do geopolityki świadczy ich znikoma obecność wśród członków szybko zwiększającego liczebność Polskiego Towarzystwa Geopolitycznego. Dotkliwą konsekwencją negatywnego stosunku dużej części środowisk akademickich do geopolityki jest nieskuteczność dotychczasowych przedsięwzięć podejmowanych w celu uruchomienia studiów uniwersyteckich z zakresu geopolityki i geostrategii. Przegląd Geopolityczny pozostaje zgodnie z zalożeniami, otwarty na różnorodne sposoby pojmowania geopolityki. Dla utrzymania naukowego statusu pisma konieczne jest jednak dążenie do ograniczenia wieloznaczności terminologii związanej z geopolityką.

A large focus is put on the importance of modularity and cost effective- ness of having a 24 hour configurable vehicle to a specific mission and area of operation. Off-road vehicle progression through history is presented and successful design features are noted in order to develop underlying goals for the modular vehicle. The thesis emphasizes recent technology advancements that can shift the foundations of vehicle design including wheel hub motors, high capacity batteries, solid oxide fuel cells, autonomy, structural health monitoring, energy harvesting shock absorbers, non-pneumatic tires, and drive-by-wire op- tions. Predictions on the outlook for the technology progressions is discussed to give insight into the viability of basing a vehicle concept on these technologies.

We wnioskach odniesiono się do stanu faktycznego i oceniono możliwe przyszłe scenariusze wydarzeń na arenie międzynarodowej, wynikające z zachwiania strategicznej równowagi zarówno na poziomie cywilizacyjnym, jak i regionalnym. Słowa kluczowe: uzbrojenie, potęga militarna, Afryka, przemysł zbrojeniowy, islam Wprowadzenie Zderzenie cywilizacji może wydawać się polityczną grą słów, której moc wyjaśniająca bieżące wydarzenia jest coraz częściej podważana. Jednak jeśli przyjrzymy się uważnie historii, ta krytykowana przez ideologów politycznej poprawności koncepcja wciąż okazuje się bardzo użyteczna w tłumaczeniu obserwowanych na scenie międzynarodowej procesów.
