TWO-TIME EAST COAST CONFERENCE REGULAR SEASON CHAMPIONS 2018-19 Daemen Men's Basketball SEASON REVIEW

MIKE MACDONALD HEAD COACH • FIFTH SEASON • ST. BONAVENTURE, '88 The 2018-19 season marked Mike MacDonald's fifth season as the Head Men's Basketball Coach at Daemen College. MacDonald, who was introduced as the sixth head coach in the modern history of the program on September 16, 2014, has led Daemen to a 105-43 record over, giving Daemen the second-most wins of any East Coast Conference team in that span. He has led the Wildcats to a United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) Division I national championship, the 2018-19 East Coast Conference regular season championship and the program's first-ever NCAA Tournament berth.

MacDonald holds more than 30 years of collegiate coaching experience, including the last 22 as a head coach. In that time, he's compiled a record of 369-269 (.586 winning percentage) as a head coach, while also graduating 83 of the 86 seniors he has ever coached.

Most recently, MacDonald guided Daemen to its finest campaign since transitioning to NCAA Division II. The Wildcats finished the 2018-19 season with a 24-6 overall record. The campaign included a 16-2 mark in ECC play, good for the program's second ECC regular-season championship, and a 15-1 mark at Lumsden Gymnasium, establishing a new benchmark for home-court wins in a season.

MacDonald led the Wildcats to wins in 13 of their final 14 regular season games, a string that vaulted them into the national conversation. Daemen spent a combined 16 weeks ranked in the Division II Sports Information Directors of America (D2SIDA) and National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) top-25 national polls. MacDonald earned a pair of milestone wins along the way. The 350th win of his career came January 18 at Mercy, and just a little more than three weeks later he earned the 100th win of his Daemen tenure when the Wildcats defeated Queens 89-63. The second of the two milestones led to MacDonald's selection as the HoopDirt.com Coach of the Week, and prompted an NCAA.org story featuring MacDonald's achievement of 100 victories as a head coach in each of the NCAA's three divisions.

Daemen also made their fourth consecutive appearance in the ECC Championship tournament, bowing out in the semifinal round when they were upset by fourth-seeded Bridgeport. The conference tournament setback did not stop the Wildcats from advancing to the NCAA Tournament as they were awarded an at-large bid and the No. 5 seed in the East Region Championship. MacDonald led Daemen into their NCAA Tournament debut on March 16, 2019, a game won by fourth-seeded New Haven 72-67.

THE MACDONALD FILE Following the success of the 2018-19 season, MacDonald was named the ECC Coach of the Year. He was also Daemen College selected as the NABC East District Coach of the Year. Head Coach (2014-Present) The 2014-15 season saw the Wildcat faithful become familiar with MacDonald's fiery style as the veteran mentor guided Daemen to its fourth-straight 20-win season, including a 13-7 mark in ECC play, good for a third-place finish Medaille College in the final league standings. Head Coach (2006-14) The fireworks got started before the season even officially began as MacDonald led the Wildcats to an 83-81 win in overtime over Canisius College in an exhibition game on November 11, 2014 at the Koessler Athletic Center. It Canisius College was Daemen's first-ever victory against an NCAA Division I opponent. Head Coach (1997-06) MacDonald's official Daemen debut came just days later as his Wildcats walloped Concordia College (N.Y.), 88-50, Canisius College in the opening round of the Knee Center of WNY / ECC-CACC Challenge before a raucous home crowd at Lumsden Gymnasium. MacDonald would go on to lead the team to wins in his first nine home games, extending the Assistant Coach (1988-97) program's NCAA Division II-best home-court winning streak to 44 consecutive games before it was snapped.

2018-19 Daemen Men's Basketball SEASON REVIEW

The 2017-18 campaign brought a 22-8 overall record, and a 15-3 mark in ECC play. Again the Wildcats peaked in the second half of the season, rattling off wins in 16 of the final 17 regular season contests. A 73- 66 road win over defending conference champion St. Thomas Aquinas highlighted the run, which also included a 102-98 double-overtime victory over Molloy.

The Wildcats opened postseason play by hosting sixth-seeded Roberts Wesleyan in the opening round of the ECC tournament. A 75-69 victory pushed them into the conference semifinals where St. Thomas Aquinas exacted some revenge with a 60-57 win.

Before arriving at Daemen, MacDonald spent eight years leading the men's basketball team at Medaille College (2006-14) where he transformed the program into a regional contender at the NCAA Division III level. Inheriting a program that went 4-46 in the two years prior to his arrival, MacDonald's version of the Mavericks averaged 18 wins per season, while advancing to the postseason six times.

Medaille's emergence as a Division III power in the Northeast was cemented in MacDonald's final five seasons there, as he led the Mavericks to more wins (101) than any other Division III team in New York State, while ranking 17th nationally in wins during the same time frame.

MacDonald was named the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Coach of the Year on four occasions (2006-07, 2008-09, 2009-10, 2011-12). He left Medaille as the school's all-time leader in wins (148) and winning percentage (.670).

Prior to his stint at Medaille, MacDonald served as the head coach at Canisius College from 1997-2006, guiding the Golden Griffins to 108 wins which ranks him third in program history for coaching victories. While there, he was one of only five coaches in that program's storied history to orchestrate a 20-win season, and was named the 2000-01 BCANY Division I Co-Coach of the Year.

Before being elevated to the head coaching post at Canisius, MacDonald had been the Golden Griffins' top assistant coach under John Beilein, now the head coach at the University of Michigan. In that role, MacDonald helped Canisius reach the 1996 NCAA Tournament in addition to two National Invitation Tournament appearances.

In addition to his coaching accomplishments, MacDonald brings a strong connection to the local community. His teams have been active with a number of community organizations in the greater Buffalo community and beyond, including the Boys and Girls Clubs of Buffalo, Blessed Sacrament Athletic Club and Coaches vs. Cancer. MacDonald and several of his players have also worked with the Drug Enforcement Administration and Mayor Byron Brown's office on the "Game Changers" program which provides academic and athletic opportunities for inner-city youths during the summer months.

A 1988 graduate of Saint Bonaventure University, MacDonald resides in Amherst with his wife Maura (nee Heary). The couple has four children - Matt, Patrick, Nick and Mark. Matt is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and works on the player development staff for the Brooklyn Nets; Patrick is a graduate of the State University of New York Maritime College where he enjoyed a stellar career at the Division III level; Patrick is now on active duty with the U.S. Navy and is stationed in San Diego.

2018-19 Daemen Men's Basketball SEASON REVIEW

WILDCATS CLINCH ECC REGULAR SEASON TITLE Sischo Surpasses 1,000 Career Points as Daemen Knocks Off Bridgeport

AMHERST, N.Y. - The Daemen College men's basketball team closed the regular season in style, erupting for 52 second-half points en route to a 93-71 victory over visiting before a near capacity crowd at Lumsden Gymnasium today. With the win, Daemen clinches the East Coast Conference regular season championship and the number one seed in the upcoming ECC Championship tournament. The Wildcats, who are ranked in the top-25 of both Division II national polls, finish the regular season at 24-4 overall and 16-2 in ECC play. Bridgeport, the preseason favorite to cut down the nets, moved to 16-12 overall and 11-7 in the league.

"For us to go through this conference and be 16-2 is a tremendous testament to the guys on this team," said head coach Mike MacDonald. "We really weren't healthy until early January, and every day there's a different guy that steps up. The depth of this team, the togetherness of this team, and the overall camaraderie is really special. It's something that I really enjoy being a part of. We achieved one goal today, but the thing that's awesome about this team is that they have bigger goals. We know next weekend will be very tough, but we'll be ready to go on Saturday night."

Daemen's 24 wins are their most in a season since going 27-6 during the 2012- 13 campaign, a year before the Wildcats began play in the ECC. Their 16 ECC wins are the most they've had since going 17-3 in their inaugural year in the league (2013-14). That was also the last time Daemen claimed the league's regular season title.

The Wildcats also established a new benchmark for home-court wins as they improved to 15-1 at Lumsden Gymnasium this season. The Wildcats surpassed the previous team record for home wins in a season which was established during both the 1999-2000 and 2016-17 campaigns. Daemen has recorded double-figure home wins in seven of the last eight seasons, and are 97-14 at home since the start of the 2011-12 season. The Wildcats have won 23 of their last 25 home contests, including the last eight in a row.

Andrew Sischo (Guilderland, N.Y.) scored 20 points and grabbed nine rebounds to lead the way today. Among his total was the 1,000th point of his career. Sischo entered the game needing just three points to reach the milestone, and he did so on a layup at the 11:16 mark of the first half. He becomes the 24th player in team history to join the 1,000-point club, and just the 10th to have more than 1,000 points and 500 rebounds. In his career, Sischo has appeared in 56 games and totaled 1,017 points and 531 rebounds. He ranks 22nd in scoring and 10th in rebounding among Daemen's all-time leaders.

Breon Harris (Niagara Falls, N.Y.) and Jay Sarkis (Rochester, N.Y.) totaled 15 points apiece, and Quinn Lee Yaw (Jamestown, N.Y.) notched 11. Harris (3-for-5) and Sarkis (4-for-4) combined for seven three-pointers. Sarkis also hauled in a career-high seven rebounds. Darius Garvin (Elmira, N.Y.) chipped in with nine points, and Deion Hamilton (Rochester, N.Y.) added eight points and a game-high five assists.

Bakary Camara paced the Purple Knights with 15 points, 11 of which came in the first half. Erin Rankin (14 points), Hashem Abbas (11 points) and Dennis Green (10 points) also reached double figures.

Daemen led for the majority of the opening frame, but never by more than seven points. The Purple Knights took their first lead of the game at 40-39 when Camara converted an old-fashioned three-point play with 46 seconds remaining in the period. Daemen answered with an inside bucket by Sischo and the hosts took a slim one-point lead into halftime.

The teams traded baskets early in the second half until back-to-back three-pointers by Harris and Hamilton sparked a 14-4 run for the Wildcats, turning a 48-46 lead into a 10-point spread at 60-50. The run included a rare five-point possession as Jeff Redband (Batavia, N.Y.) made two free throws following a technical foul on UB's Jose Pabon-Sanchez, and Sarkis buried a triple when play resumed.

Bridgeport cut the deficit to eight (62-54) on a jumper by John Middleton, but that's as close as they would get. Daemen scored 21 of the next 30 points to open up an 83-63 advantage with 5:20 remaining. The Daemen run featured trey-balls from Sarkis, Harris and Lee Yaw, as well as a pair of thunderous dunks by Sischo. The outcome was never in doubt after that, and the Wildcat lead crested at 24 points (93-69) on a late slam by Ziv Basden (Nassau, Bahamas).

Led by Harris and Sarkis, Daemen's three-point shooting came alive in the second half. After making just two triples in the opening 20 minutes, Daemen canned 9-of-16 from downtown after halftime. The Wildcats enjoyed 49.3 percent shooting in the game (35-of-71), as well as a 42-28 advantage in paint scoring.

Bridgeport, which entered the weekend as the fourth-highest scoring team in the country, was held to just 38.2 percent shooting (26-of-68) and 20 points less than their collective season average. It marked just the seventh time this season Bridgeport had been held under 75 points. The Purple Knights saw their long- range shooting go from warm (6-of-14 in the first half) to chilly as they connected on just 1-of-12 three-pointers in the second half.

Today's game also marked Daemen's celebration of Senior Day. Graduating seniors Garvin, Hamilton, Lee Yaw, Nick Petrucelli (Hicksville, N.Y.) and Dmarco Barnes (Baldwin, N.Y.) were recognized in a pre-game ceremony, along with graduating managers Kyle Munro and Sam Coran and graduating senior cheerleader Michelle Rivers. With Daemen leading big late in the game, each senior was able to take a curtain call as MacDonald executed subs at strategic points, allowing the crowd to show their pleasure.

With the regular season now in the books, Daemen sets its sights on conference tournament play. As the ECC Championship's number one seed, the Wildcats have drawn a bye into the semifinal round. They will play Saturday, March 9 at 5 p.m. against the winner of Wednesday's first-round game between fourth- seeded Bridgeport and fifth-seeded . Saturday's game takes place at Bridgeport's Hubbell Gymnasium, the pre-determined site for this year's semifinal and final rounds. The Wildcats will be making their fourth straight appearance in the ECC Championship tournament, and they'll be seeking their first tournament crown.

TWO-TIME EAST COAST CONFERENCE REGULAR SEASON CHAMPIONS 2018-19 Daemen Men's Basketball SEASON REVIEW

TOP-SEEDED WILDCATS UPSET IN ECC SEMIFINALS Wildcats Will Learn NCAA Tournament Fate Late Sunday Night

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. - Daemen College's quest for a postseason championship at the NCAA Division II level will have to wait for another day as the top- seeded Wildcats were upset by fourth-seeded University of Bridgeport 79- 77 in the semifinal round of the East Coast Conference Championship at Hubbell Gymnasium this evening. Bridgeport advances to the final round for the second straight year. They'll face the winner of today's second semifinal featuring second-seeded Saint Thomas Aquinas College and third- seeded .

Despite being the ECC regular season champion and the tournament's No. 1 seed, Daemen was put in a true road game for the semifinals due to the ECC's pre-determined site format. Bridgeport took advantage as they overcame an eight-point halftime deficit, outscoring Daemen 48-38 in the second frame to improve to 13-3 at home this season. The Purple Knights also moved to 18-12 overall.

Daemen, which fell to 24-5, was seeking their third win this season over Bridgeport. The Wildcats swept the teams' two regular season meetings, winning 87-85 here in mid-January, as well as 93-71 at Lumsden Gymnasium just six days ago. Of Daemen's five losses this season, three have been by two points or less.

Bridgeport featured six players with at least nine points, led by Eric Rankin who notched a game-high 20. Rankin shot 8-of-16 from the field, and counted a pair of three-pointers among his total, while also grabbing a game-high three steals. Nemanja Zubac shot 6-of-7 from the field and totaled 16 points in a reserve role, helping Bridgeport to a 28-10 advantage in bench scoring. Bakary Camara's double-double (12 points, 12 rebounds) included perfect 6-for-6 shooting from the charity stripe. Travis Robinson- Morgan (10 points), Hashem Abbas (nine points, six rebounds) and Dennis Green (nine points, seven rebounds) also produced.

Breon Harris (Niagara Falls, N.Y.) paced the Wildcats with 18 points on 7-of- 18 shooting. Harris canned a game-high three three-pointers, and added four rebounds, three assists and a steal. Jay Sarkis (Rochester, N.Y.) and Deion Hamilton (Rochester, N.Y.) scored 14 points apiece, and Andrew Sischo (Guilderland, N.Y.) chipped in with 11 points and seven boards.

Jeff Redband (Batavia, N.Y.) also reached double figures for Daemen, finishing with 10 points. Included among his total was the 1,000th point of his career. The redshirt junior forward entered the game needing just eight points to reach the milestone. He surpassed the benchmark with a three-pointer in the final minute of the contest. Redband becomes the third Daemen player to achieve the milestone in the last three games, and the 25th in team history. He joins teammates Hamilton and Sischo who each scored their 1,000th career point during regular season games last weekend.

Daemen led for 28 of the game's first 31 minutes. After a three-pointer by UB's John Middleton knotted the score at 31-31, Daemen closed the first half with an 8-0 spurt. Back-to-back threes by Sarkis and Harris fueled the run as the Wildcats took a 39-31 lead into halftime.

The Wildcats opened up their largest lead of the game early in the second half when Harris' driving layup at the 18:31 mark put them ahead 43-33. The Daemen lead was eight points (51-43) following a layup by Quinn Lee Yaw (Jamestown, N.Y.), but Bridgeport mounted their offensive from there. The hosts scored eight straight points, knotting the score at 51-51 on an old-fashioned three-point play by Robinson-Morgan with 12:00 remaining.

A short time later, Bridgeport snagged their first lead since the game's opening bucket with a three-pointer by Green that put them ahead 57-56. They added a three-point play by Rankin to lead 60-56 with under seven minutes to play.

Daemen battled back, scoring 10 straight points to regain a 66-60 lead. The Daemen run featured points from five different players, including Hamilton's jumper at the 4:47 mark that broke a 60-60 tie.

Bridgeport responded with a 10-0 spurt of their own. Abbas shot 7-for-10 from the free throw line during the run, and Rankin's three-pointer with 2:19 to go marked the final lead change of the contest.

Daemen clawed within two points four times in the final 1:03, but never any closer. Bridgeport closed the door with 7-of-8 shooting from the charity stripe in the final 36 seconds.

Daemen will likely live to play another day. As the No. 2 ranked team in the official NCAA Division II East Region rankings, the Wildcats are likely to receive an at- large bid to the regional portion of the NCAA Division II Championship. Bids for the 64-team NCAA tournament will be announced Sunday evening when the tournament selection show is broadcast on NCAA.com at 10:30 p.m. The NCAA Division II Championship features eight regional tournaments across the country. The eight regional champions will advance to the Elite Eight which is slated for March 27-30 in Evansville, Ind.

TWO-TIME EAST COAST CONFERENCE REGULAR SEASON CHAMPIONS 2018-19 Daemen Men's Basketball SEASON REVIEW

TICKET PUNCHED! WILDCATS CLAIM FIRST-EVER NCAA TOURNAMENT BID Daemen Seeded Fifth In East Region, Will Face Fourth- Seeded New Haven Saturday

AMHERST, N.Y. - For the first time since gaining full NCAA membership, the Daemen College men's basketball team will compete for a national championship. The Wildcats have earned an at-large bid to the NCAA Division II Men's Basketball Championship which gets underway next weekend with eight regional tournaments across the country. The full 64-team NCAA tournament bracket was announced late this evening in a selection show broadcast on NCAA.com.

The tournament field is broken down into eight regions, consisting of eight teams each. Each of the 24 conference champions earns an automatic qualifying bid to the NCAA DII tournament. The Division II Men's Basketball Committee will select the remaining 40 at- large bids.

Daemen is the No. 5 seed in the East Region, and the Wildcats will meet fourth-seeded in a first-round game on Saturday, March 16 at Stoutenburgh Gymnasium on the campus of Saint Anselm College in Manchester, N.H. Saint Anselm was awarded the region's No. 1 seed and host privileges for the entire regional tournament. The top-seeded Hawks will meet eighth-seeded Molloy College, which captured its first-ever East Coast Conference championship earlier today. Additional first-round matchups include No. 2 Merrimack College, champions of the Northeast-10 Conference, taking on Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference champion and No. 7 seed Dominican College, as well as No. 3 and defending regional champ Le Moyne College facing No. 6 Saint Thomas Aquinas College.

Game times, ticket and broadcast information for the East Region Championship will be announced later this week.

Daemen will make its NCAA tournament debut after posting a 24-5 record so far this season. The Wildcats recorded a 16-2 record in East Coast Conference play, resulting in the program's second ECC regular season title, but were upset 79-77 by the University of Bridgeport in yesterday's ECC Championship semifinals. Daemen is ranked in the top-20 of both Division II national polls (No. 12 in D2SIDA poll; No. 19 in NABC poll) released last week, and had been ranked No. 2 in the official regional rankings compiled by the regional advisory committee each of the last three weeks. Daemen owns a 3-2 record this season against teams included in the East Region Championship.

Daemen is one of five teams to earn an at-large bid to the East Region Championship, and one of three ECC teams in the field. It marks just the fourth time that the ECC has produced as many as three NCAA tournament teams, and the first time since 2004.

New Haven will be making their eighth NCAA tournament appearance in team history, but just their first since 2013. The Chargers have compiled a 20-9 mark so far this season. They placed second in the NE-10 Southwest Division with a 13-7 mark, and advanced to the NE-10 Championship finals where they fell 51-46 to Merrimack.

Saturday's game will mark the first-ever meeting between Daemen and New Haven. The winner advances to Sunday's regional semifinals to face either Saint Anselm or Molloy. A full opening-round preview will be posted to daemenwildcats.com later this week.

Winners of the eight regional tournaments will advance to the Elite Eight which is slated for March 27-30 at the Ford Center in Evansville, Indiana.

TWO-TIME EAST COAST CONFERENCE REGULAR SEASON CHAMPIONS 2018-19 Daemen Men's Basketball SEASON REVIEW

WILDCATS FALL 72-67 IN NCAA TOURNAMENT DEBUT Daemen Ends Season With 24-6 Record

MANCHESTER, N.H. - The Daemen College men's basketball team saw its magical 2018-19 season come to an end following a 72-67 loss to fourth-seeded University of New Haven this evening in the opening round of the 2019 NCAA Division II East Region Championship. New Haven, a member of the Northeast- 10 Conference, improved to 21-9 overall, and the Chargers advance to face top-seeded Saint Anselm College in tomorrow's regional semifinals.

Daemen, which was making its first-ever NCAA tournament appearance, closes the season with a 24-6 overall record, achieving the most victories of the program's NCAA Division II era.

Elijah Bailey led a quartet of double-figure scorers for the Chargers with 17 points. The first-team All-NE-10 guard did the majority of work at the charity stripe where he shot 9-for-10. The free throw line paid huge dividends for UNH as they outscored Daemen 29-8 from there. The Chargers shot 17-of-21 from the charity in the second half alone.

Quashawn Lane and Roy Kane, Jr. notched 14 points apiece, and Derrick Rowland finished with 13 for UNH, helping them improve to 21-9 on the season. Kane, Jr. added a team-high eight rebounds.

Andrew Sischo (Guilderland, N.Y.), who was recently dubbed the East Region Player of the Year, finished with a game-high 19 points to pace the Wildcats. Sischo scored eight points in the opening five minutes of the game. His first basket of the night broke the program record for scoring by a sophomore (567) set by Rob Robinson during the 1989-90 season. Sischo, who also grabbed six rebounds and blocked two shots tonight, finished with 585 points this season which ranks eighth in team history. He's just the seventh player in team history to average better than 20 points per game for an entire season, and the first since Torrence Dyck in 2015-16.

Jeff Redband (Batavia, N.Y.) and Darius Garvin (Elmira, N.Y.) also reached double figures for the Wildcats, finishing with 11 points apiece. Garvin added a team-high seven rebounds, and Redband snared six. Quinn Lee Yaw (Jamestown, N.Y.) scored eight points and Deion Hamilton (Rochester, N.Y.) chipped in with seven.

New Haven held the lead for over 36 minutes in the contest. The Chargers jumped out to an early 15-8 lead, but Daemen regrouped and went ahead 22-21 on an old-fashioned three-point play by Redband. It was short-lived however as Daemen would lead for only 34 seconds in the entire game.

With the score tied 28-28, New Haven launched an 11-2 run to close out the opening half. Back-to-back three-pointers by Lane and Kessly Felizor kick-started the spurt. Rowland's three-pointer just before the first-half buzzer, UNH's sixth of the period, pushed their advantage to 39-30 as the teams headed to the locker room.

Daemen stormed out to start the second, holding New Haven without any points for nearly six minutes. The Wildcats scored the first nine points of the half, pulling even on a layup by Redband. But, in what would become a theme of the game, UNH regrouped and re-established their lead. They scored 14 of the next 19 points, getting points from five different players. Rowland's two free throws at the 9:09 put UNH back ahead by nine (53-44).

Daemen pulled back within two points three times over the next several minutes, but couldn't pull even until Sischo's layup off a feed from Jay Sarkis (Rochester, N.Y.) with 2:27 to go which made the count 64-all. UNH came back with a layup by Najee Larcher, and Daemen pulled even again when Garvin scored in the paint.

Bailey drove and scored with 1:13 to go, putting New Haven on top 68-66. Daemen came up empty on its next possession, but a New Haven turnover gave them another chance to tie or take the lead. Sischo was fouled inside with 20 second left, but following a timeout, he split the pair of freebies, leaving the Wildcats trailing by one (68-67). After being fouled on the inbounds pass, Bailey split a pair of free throws, leaving the door open for some late Daemen heroics. But, Garvin's game-tying attempt on a drive to the hoop was blocked by Lane. After corralling the loose ball, Lane was fouled with nine seconds left. He went to the line, but was only able to hit 1-of-2, making it a three-point UNH lead at 70-67. After a Daemen timeout in the frontcourt, their sideline out-of-bounds play got Redband a tying look from the corner, but it was off the mark. Lane converted a pair of free throws with 1.5 seconds left to seal the deal for UNH.

It marked New Haven's first NCAA tournament win since 2013. The Chargers are making their eighth NCAA tournament appearance in team history, and their first since 2014. They'll face Saint Anselm tomorrow (7:30 p.m.) at Stoutenburgh Gym. The tournament host Hawks outlasted No. 8 Molloy College 81-71. Upsets ruled the early portion of play today as sixth-seeded Saint Thomas Aquinas College overcame a 19-point deficit to beat third-seeded Le Moyne College 61-59, and No. 7 Dominican College blasted No. 2 Merrimack College 64-50.

The loss tonight means the end of the road for Daemen's five seniors - Garvin, Lee Yaw, Hamilton, Nick Petrucelli (Hicksville, N.Y.) and Dmarco Barnes (Baldwin, N.Y.). Over the course of the last five seasons, the quintet has helped Daemen to 105 wins, second-most among all East Coast Conference and New York State Division II teams.
