PRESS RELEASE No: 234/2019 Date:29th March 2019 GIBRALTAR YOUTH DAY PROGRAMME OF EVENTS The Gibraltar Youth Day Committee (comprised of young people) supported by Gibraltar Cultural Services and the Gibraltar Youth Service, on behalf of the Ministry of Culture, the Media, Youth and Sport will once again be organising a Youth Day. The event will be held at the John Mackintosh Hall on Sunday 7th April 2019 from 10am to 6pm. The Youth Day will feature live performances, interactive workshops and fun activities, throughout the day. The programme of events is as follows: 10am to 11.30am Low sensory environment 10.30am to 11:30am Drama workshop with Nyree Robinson 11.30am to 11.45am Official Opening by the Minister for Culture, the Hon Steven Linares MP and a representative of the Youth Open Day Committee 11:45am – 12:15pm Zumba kids 12:15pm – 12:45pm Help Me Learn Africa presentation 12:45pm – 1:45pm Rags 2 Riches (creating fashion accessories for all ages) 1:45pm – 2:00pm Rags 2 Riches (showcasing fashion accessories) 2:00pm – 2:30pm St John Ambulance (CPR & AED Scenario) 2:30pm – 3:00pm CYE-CYL 3:00pm – 3:15pm Joyful Riot 3:15pm – 3:45pm Clubhouse Gibraltar (mental health awareness) 3:45pm – 4:15pm The Scout Association Gibraltar (team games) 4:15pm – 5:00pm Open Mic/Performance 5:00pm – 6:00pm Voltage Youth Band Performance Furthermore, the Gibraltar Arts and Crafts Association will be offering arts and crafts activities throughout the event. There will also be involvement by the Chess Association, GAMPA’s #IAmMe campaign, the Citizens Advice Bureau, with the John Mackintosh Hall Library and Cafeteria open throughout the day.
