God knows that we are His children and he has devised a fail-safe mechanism – a GPS (God’s Plan for Salvation), by which we can find our way back Home. The “Atonement” is a perfect fail-safe mechanism. It is a process by which, even if we fail, we are forever safe because God has not con - demned us and His grace guarantees our salvation. When the ego’s plan fails, God’s plan automatically kicks into gear. When the Prodigal Son, having failed at his own plan, returns home, the father does not say a word about where he went or what he did. It does not matter. The only thing which matters is that he has returned home – to a place he never left except, perhaps, in some nightmarish dream. The ego is the belief that what is perfect can be made imperfect. As a symbol of imperfection, the ego cannot understand perfection. To be perfect, a mind must be pure; to be pure, it must be true; to be true; it must be simple; it must be inno - cent; it must be immaculate. God knows nothing of the ego because it does not exist. Fantasies are not true. They are fantasies. Living under ego’s tyranny means living in a dream. The outside world, “the world of form” is a place of change. It is the changelessness of Heaven which makes Heaven perfect. There are no perfect bodies. Bodies are by definition imperfect. All flowers, even the most beautiful fade. Life is where Love is. All Life is of the Mind Eternal. Life outside of Heaven is impossible. The body was made as a place of separation. What is not in Heaven is illusion, fantasy, day- dreaming. The simple proof of the fact that we are not a body lies in the fact that “no” body lasts. There is nothing which decays, decomposes, deteriorates, disintegrates, oxidizes, rusts, rots; nothing that turns from one form into another form that has any eternity in it. Bodies change in time and in time, all bodies die.
