From the top of the premier league all the way to the bottom of the non-leagues it’s important to get the season off to a good start; especially for us as the FA Cup qualifying round are looming up on the horizon. Those FA Cup games are of paramount importance to non- league clubs as it is a great way of self-funding for the season.

A Great response at the beginning of the second period, playing on the front foot for twenty minutes and creating chances, but against the run of play, Farnborough took a two nil lead through a real soft goal out of the blue. We didn’t let it phase us and continued to play the right way and finished really strong again; hitting the woodwork twice more and having a goal disallowed.

It’s true, Farnborough also had opportunities to extend their lead, due to us pushing on, however, if we were leading with the chances we created in the first half, we would not have had to chase the game.
