It maintains The Museum of Contemporary Crafts, publishes Craft Horizons mag- azine, and is affiliated with over a hundred local, state and regional craft associations. Submission of material for the exhibition was open to any practi- tioner of those allied arts who was a citizen of this country or its territorial possessions whether or not fie was a member of The Archi- tectural League of New York or The American Craftsmen 's Council. The only qualifications were that the work submitted must be of the highest quality executed between January I, 195 j and December ]i 1959 and that all submissions in the allied cuts must be related to architecture. The material for thefinal comprehensive exhibition at the Museum of Contemporary Crafts of the American Craftsmen's Council was selected by Juries ofAward of The Architectural League ofNew York from the invited entries shown in six preliminary exhibitions held at The League from September 10, 19j9 through February ij, i960 and from open submissions received at The League on January 4, i960. The Architectural League of New York gratefully acknowledges the close cooperation caul support of The American Craftsmen's Council, including Mrs. Vanderbilt Webb, Chairman of The Board, Mr. David R. Campbell, President, and Mr. Thomas S. Tibbs, Director of The Museum of Contemporary Crafts, in the development of this exhibition and its presentation at The Museum. The League is also very grateful to The American Federation of Arts, including Air. Harris K. Prior, Director, and Miss Virginia Field, Secretary Exhibitions to circulate the exhibition throughout for , for arranging the United States and Canada during the years 1960-1962.
