#43a Ownership – Broadcasting - CRTC 2021-02-08 UPDATE

Update – 2016-01-26 – of certain details.

Update – 2016-04-12 – of Cogeco Communications inc.’s shareholding as per Cogeco’s 2016 Broadcasting Ownership Information Annual Filing.

CRTC 2016-330 – approved, as part of a corporate reorganization, the acquisition by Cogeco Cable GP Inc. of the assets of the terrestrial broadcasting distribution undertakings serving the region and the region and the regional video-on-demand service known as Cogeco On Demand serving Quebec and Ontario.

Administrative Decision – 2016-08-29 – approved the deletion of licensed areas under a broadcasting licence issued to Cogeco Cable Canada GP Inc. (the general partner) and Cogeco Cable Holdings Inc. (the limited partner), carrying on business as Cogeco Cable Canada LP. (2016-0824-1)

Name Change – 2016-09-01 – of Cogeco Cable Canada GP Inc. to Cogeco Connexion Inc.

Name change – 2016-09-01 – of Cogeco Cable Holdings Inc. to Cogeco Communications Holdings Inc.

Update – 2017-04-24 – of Cogeco Communications inc.’s shareholding as per Cogeco’s 2017 Broadcasting Ownership Information Annual Filing.

Update – 2020-07-03 – minor change.

Amalgamation – 2020-08-30 – of Cogeco Communications Holdings Inc. with Cogeco Connexion Inc. and to continue as Cogeco Connexion Inc.

Cogeco inc. holds 82.29% of Cogeco Communications inc. See Chart 43 for the ownership of the remaining 17.71%.

Cogeco Communications inc. holds 100% of Cogeco Connexion Inc.

Cogeco Connexion Inc. is the licensee of regional broadcasting licences for terrestrial broadcasting distribution undertakings (BDUs) in Ontario and Quebec. Cogeco Connexion Inc. is also licensee of a regional on demand service known as Cogeco On Demand serving Quebec and Ontario.

The Ontario regional licence includes the terrestrial BDUs serving:

 Burlington  Hamilton/Stoney Creek  Kingston  Niagara Falls  Sarnia  St. Catharines  Windsor

The Quebec regional licence includes the terrestrial BDUs serving:

 Drummondville  Rimouski  Trois-Rivières

Cogeco Connexion Inc. also holds 66.67% of TV Hamilton Limited, licensee of a community programming network serving Hamilton. Canada Inc., a licensee owned by Rogers (see chart 27A Rogers), holds the remaining 33.33% interest in TV Hamilton.

Cogeco also owns exempt terrestrial BDUs.
