Richard Steadman, the Steadman Philippon Research Institute is an independent, tax-exempt (IRS code 501(c)(3)) charitable organization employing scientists, researchers, fellows, visiting scholars, and interns. Dr. Steadman moved to Vail in 1990 with one researcher. Today, there are almost 30 employees (scientists, researchers, medical fellows, visiting scholars, administration, and interns). In 2010, Dr. Marc Philippon’s name was added to mark the succession of the Institute and recognize his research efforts and contributions to the field of hip arthroscopy.
