Food Chains Connect Four
1. For this game, you will need 4 people, 1 game board (see page 4) and 2 sets of creature cards (see pages 2 and 3). 2. In your team, and with an adult helping you, cut out all of the creature cards (do not cut out the game board). 3. Work with a partner to make a team of two. Shuffle your creature cards and place them in a pile facing down. 4. Take it in turns to turn over your top card and decide where to put it on the board. 5. You can place a card on the animal it eats or on the animal that eats it. 6. Check the food chains below if you’re not sure! Everyone has to agree that it is in an appropriate place. 7. Take it in turns to pick up a creature card and place it on the game board. 8. The winning team is the first to get four in a row vertically, horizontally, or diagonally. 9. One member of the winning team must shout ‘HUNGRY OCEAN CREATURES’ when they are successful in gaining four in a row!
