OUR PATRON OF ST. JOSEPHS. COLLIERS WOOD. DAILY DEVOTIONS FOR 33 DAYS. Starting Monday 3rd. May at 9am followed by mass at 9.30am. Fr. Agnelo has decided to hold the services on Wednesday of each week, forgoing his weekly leave, to enable our parishioners to attend the devotion to St Joseph. Our grateful thanks to Paul Young, one of our parishioners, who introduced the Devotion to St. Joseph and provided the prayer sheets for each of the 33 days. Please write your name in block capital letters on the top righthand corner of each sheet and return them to the container as you leave the church, we will bind them together at the end of the 33 days of devotion and hand back to the parishioners

1 Again, we remind parishioners to register their names if they wish to attend mass, last week we had the unfortunate and embarrassing task of refusing entry to some who failed to register or arrived too late. The 10.45am mass on Sunday 30th. May will be celebrated for our parishioners, whose names will be published next Sunday.

CONFIRMATION. Following discussions with the bishop’s secretary it has been agreed that our young parishioners will receive the sacrament of Confirmation on Sunday May 30th. 2021 during the 10.45am mass. The instructions for confirmation have commenced and will meet in the church every Saturday commencing at 10am. Please, it is vitally important that all candidates attend these important lessons.

Safety procedures while attending St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. • Parishioners who wish to attend masses/services must register with the parish secretary, Fergus Keogh, on 07970157922 and by completing a form available at the entrance on your arrival, and renewed every 4 weeks, but please in the first instance, call the number and register the mass you will be attending. Always sanitise your hands before entering and leaving the church. • All over the aged 11 and all adults MUST wear face masks. • The number of parishioners permitted to attend services will be 22, this will vary as we apply allowances laid down by the government. • Parking will be restricted at weekends to disabled drivers, those who drive disabled parishioners and parents with very young children who have prebooked the services. At all times subject to availability • All toilet facilities will be closed, if you believe you have a valid reason why you should be allowed access speak to the parish priest or secretary, you will be expected to thoroughly clean the toilet after use. • Safety signs must be adhered to for the benefit of all attending St. Josephs. • The church adheres to TRACK and TRACE and expects its parishioners to also do so. • To avoid delays at the exit area please have your donations to the church collections ready and place them in the basket, delays in this area cause problems with social distancing.

Again, many thanks to the parishioners who stay after mass to help sanitize the church. Unfortunately, only two people stayed to sanitize after the 10.45am mass last Sunday we cannot continue to rely on the small number of conscientious parishioners so please step forward and offer your help for approximately 10 minutes.
