SO Specific objective 5 IPA Cross-border Cooperation Programme Croatia–Bosnia and Herzegovina-Montenegro 2014-2020 Strategic Environmental Impact Study NON-TECHNICAL SUMMARY Introduction This SEA study is prepared for the proposed Interreg IPA Cross-border Cooperation Programme Croatia- Bosnia and Herzegovina-Montenegro 2014-2020 (hereafter cooperation programme) that aims to strengthen the social, economic and territorial development of the cross-border area between Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro. The programme has been prepared for an area covering 12 counties on the Croatian side, 109 municipalities on the side of Bosnia and Herzegovina and District Brčko and 10 municipalities on the Montenegrin side. This amounts to total of 87.453.95 km2 of programme area with 5.587.836 inhabitants. The programme has a total indicative EU budget of EUR 57.155.316 million for the 2014-2020 period. With this budget and territorial focus, the cooperation programme focuses on four priority axes: Priority Axis 1: Improving the quality of the services in public health and social care sector (8.573.297 €) with one Specific Objective o 1.1 ´To improve services in the area of public health and social sector across the borders´ Priority Axis 2: Protecting the environment and nature, improving risk prevention and promoting sustainable energy and energy efficiency (14.288.830 €) with two Specific Objectives: o 2.1. ´To promote and improve environment and nature protection and management systems for risk prevention´ and o 2.2. ´To promote utilization of renewable energy resources and energy efficiency´ Priority Axis 3: Contributing to the development of tourism and preserving cultural and natural heritage (17.146.595 €) with one Specific Objective: o 3.1. ´To strengthen and diversify the tourism offer through cross border approaches and to enable a better management and sustainable use of cultural and natural heritage Priority Axis 4: Enhancing competitiveness and developing business environment in the programme area (11.431.063 €) with one Specific

Particular attention was also given to collect data and information for specific purposes concerning the development of the Danube Water Quality Model, the identification and evaluation of hot spots, the analysis of social and economic factors, the preparation of an investment portfolio and the development of financing mechanisms for the implementation of the ICPDR Action Plan. For the elaboration of the National Reviews, a team of national experts was recruited in each of the participating countries for a period of one to four months covering the following positions: Socio-economist with knowledge in population studies, Financial expert (preferably from the Ministry of Finance), Water Quality Data expert/information specialist, Water Engineering expert with knowledge in project development. Each of the experts had to organize his or her work under the supervision of the respective Country Programme Coordinator and with the guidance of a team of International Consultants. The tasks were laid out in specific Terms of Reference. At a Regional Workshop in Budapest from 27 to 29 January 1998, the national teams and the group of international consultants discussed in detail the methodological approach and the content of the National Reviews to assure coherence of results.

"Brankusa - section 115" in SFE "Ostrelj - Drinic" - Drinic 2. "Maksimovica potok" in SFE "telinac" - Celinac 3. "Mala Inova" in SFE "Borja" - Teslic 4. "Livade - Bad" in SFE "Maglic" - Srbinje 5. "Sipasno - Zlatac - Lokve" in SFE "Botin" - Nevesinje EIA studies are elaborated for all roads. Ljubo Maric The Government of Republic of Srpska, by construction of new forest roads in mentioned SFEs, intends to influence on increasing of road infrastructure and openness of the forests. In that way the costs will be reduced and working efficiency increased in the most expensive phase of forest exploitation, which is skidding of wood assortments (transportation phase). Besides that road construction would increase other operational capacities in SFEs regarding protection, regeneration and nursering of forests, as well as other common useful forest functions (tourism, recreation, hunting, collection of secondary forest products and others).

[krijelj 2, S. \ug 2 Summary The first detailed investigation of Gastropods in the basin of river Fojni~ka has been carried out in 2001 –2002. The material has been sam - pled five times during four seasons (October 2001 –September 2002) at 11 sites in the following waterways: the rivers Fojni~ka, Draga~a, @eljeznica, Kre{evka and Lepenica. Measurement of certain physical and chemical parameters (BOD 5, water temperature, pH value, amount of dissolved ox- ygen, saturation with oxygen and one time measurement of concentration of nitrates and phosphates) has been carried out together with collecting of macroinvertebrates of zoobenthos. Since the knowledge of biodiversity of Gastropods in Bosnia and Herzegovina is at the very low level, the main objective of this paper is to give an overview of distribution of Gas- tropods communities in the Fojni~ka river basin. In these investigations, 11 taxa of Gastropods and 1468 individuals have been determined. The Gastropods made 16% of total settlement of macroinvertebrates of zoobenthos. Dominant species at investigated sites was Ancylus fluviatilis , while species Acicula sp. , Saxurinator sp . and Valvata piscinalis were just sporadically recorded.
